thanks for the list. I already finished all of them except Etryan Odyssey since it was only released yesterday in europe. Now I'm contemplating if it's really worth 51$ (39€) as download or if I should import the retail box in a couple month after a price drop.

It is very good and by far the best of the series....if you every played any of them on DS and liked them, then you will really like the 3DS version. It starts a little slow like a lot of RPGs but once it kicks in it is first rate.....so I take it your currently don't have a Gateway?

Aw man, this is getting increasingly difficult for me to get any games at this rate...
First I only get japanese version in Hong Kong... the 3DS (and every other console for that matter) is illegal in mainland china...
I manage to get my hand on a European 3DS... and now Atlus won't release games in europe. *sigh* should have picked a US 3DS... but then some games cannot be played with DS from different regions, locking me from all my european friends...

ARRRG, Nintendo... I really want to love you, but you're making this very hard for me.

At least, I think it is technically "not illegal" for me to download roms as their copyrights are not recognised by the Chinese state... if only I could find one. Most websites, torrents or direct download are blocked by the Great FireWall.
I got my gateway... now I need the roms. (funny how easy I can get a gateway here.)

I wish; But first I cannot buy a download copy since my 3DS is european. Game is not even announced yet... if it ever get released. (plus downloading from the shop would negate the gateway)
Secondly, I am from china. Shipping cost are insane... it will cost me over 80$ per game.

Even if I could... buying every game as download is bad. The games are linked to the console, can't resell them, can't lend them to friends, can't keep all my games on the SD card (not enough space)... and of course, no box, no cartridge, no bonus cards/AR cards...
And the worst thing ever... buying the download is more expensive than a retail box. That's a fact that really irks me... every download is 5-10 buchs more expensive than game.co.uk or Amazon. This is even sometimes 40-60% more expensive than US retails.

for a 1,8Gb rom, that sound like a scam. Plus, the creation date of this rom is April 2013. For a game released in July 2013, this is extremely fishy. I am not touching this file.
If anyone want to risk trying to determine exactly what this is, I can send you the link by PM. But you better run this in a virtual box or something safe.

Did you extract it and run it? It extracted to 700 Mb Plus....I don't know how it did that?

it can do that when the file it just full of emptyness.
There's a couple programs to create empty gigantic files... it's usually used to test writing/reading speed of harddrives.

That's my guess.

That small archive will uncompress (using 7-zip) to over a gig. This stuff is possible due to how compression works, all lossless compression looks for repeated patterns and makes tokens/shorthand of them so if I make something that's just a text file filled with a single character for a gigabyte, it'll compress really small.

Because an ENCRYPTED game will definitely have that kind of compressibility. C'mon guys, don't be idiots.

Here's a hint: if it's not at least 1.7 GB compressed, it's fake. The US version could be slightly smaller than the Jap version depending on voice audio compression, but not by much.
