Where did the $500 figure come from?

Also, No. CoD ghosts is running on the same engine from Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1. It's just tweaked a little bit.

$500 better?

No.

Most pros turn down the graphics settings in games because it makes them more competitive anyway.

i turn down graphics in games for more fps and easier to see models

i play counter strike competitively

That's like saying "Half-Life" ran on the same engine as "Quake" did - it was just tweaked a little.

"Modern Warfare" ran on IW Engine 3.0, "Ghost" runs on a new version of the engine based on MW3's engine, which in turn was based on IW Engine 4.0. The current revisions of IW have little in common with the early ones. As for the features available only on Next Gen systems, one of them is going to be Tessellation so smoother surfaces are to be expected.

Who plays COD anyways?

"Activision reported sales figures for Black Ops II in the U.S. being more than 7.5 million copies sold on launch day and grossed over $500 million, in the US alone in its first 24 hours, making it the biggest entertainment launch of all time." ~Wikipedia
Apparently loads of people.

Who plays COD anyways?

90% of the worlds 11-12 year old population abouts.

I don't know how to respond to that.

Don't judge a game by its community - judge it by whether it's a good game or not, and the "Call of Duty" series are certainly good games.

Doesn't really matter what you judge CoD by.
It's still terrible.

I dont think they will be right away. Usually the best game graphically are ones that game (heh heh) the system and use clever techniques to get the most out of the console or come very close to the end of the console's life, when devs know and understand how the beast works.
