Sooo... Since there is an exploit and a special mode called GW mode, and a year ago CiTRUS developer generated proper CXI missing only RomFS...
The generated CXIs would still require an exploit to run on a retail 3DS, however. The flags are already laid out and are valid developer flags, though.

...why don't we have homebrew yet? :wtf: Anyone tried it at all?

Same situation as the Wii U, it takes some serious effort developing libraries for a homebrew devkit, and since the Gateway 3DS is just released and there was no reason to develop such a thing before that since no one could run homebrew anyway, no one has created it yet.
And now that the Gateway team are working on homebrew no one else is likely to bother with it since it'll just be wasted effort once the Gateway team releases their devkit.

...because they require homebrew libraries and a method to run them, and neither of those requirements are released (yet).
Not only are they not released, but no one has developed the libraries yet.

Not true prob every single flashhcart developer is working on it to say "buy this for homebrew!" Especially since the gateway code was leaked.

I doubt it. No one buys a flashcart for homebrew. :P
They are probably working on a flashcart, but I doubt homebrew is a priority.
I do! As much as I like flashcards for their ability of letting me play roms for free I like my Colors! app, or costum web browser, or text editor.
On top of that I'd like to develope games, and for as long as Homebrew isn't possible on the 3DS I can't try and work out some of the nice ideas I have.

We kinda need a menu to select multiple roms if possible. (not sure if homebrew would be necessary tho)
Yeah, but in order to make one they would first need to have a homebrew devkit. Once the Gateway team creates one, a menu should be imminent :)

That's not true. I use my flashcard solely for homebrew.
There are always exceptions to a rule. But I doubt the number of people who would be interested in a flashcart solely for homebrew is large enough that it would be worth anyone's effort just to sell a few more flashcarts.
The Gateway is sort of a special case I guess since they're trying to be the first to support homebrew which will gain them some popularity. But once there are a few other 3DS flashcarts out with homebrew support it will no longer be anything special.
I suppose a lot of people won't buy a flashcart that only runs 3DS roms and no homebrew if they can get one that runs both though. Unless it's a lot cheaper, anyway.

But that's not the main reason you have one now is it?

I actually use my dstwo for the gba and snes emulator a lot more than playing ds roms. It's still piracy yes but it wouldn't be possible without homebrew.

Thats very wrong, I don't have a Gateway, I have a TTDS clone card useless now that my NDSL is broken and trashed.
I had 4 games on it, Moonshell, Colors!, some file manager including an IRC client, an Atari and SNES emu, an image reader (I had the entire database the Housepets! web comic on there) etc etc
