You don't need backwards compatibility. All you need is Dolphin Emulator and a decent PC.

Well actually, Dolphin runs my games very well on my (laptop) computer. I was really surprised by this since I tried a Playstation 2 game on here and it refused to go over half speed. But I didn't get my computer just for gaming; it's my all purpose portable desktop.

True, but not everyone can afford a PC when consoles are so much cheaper. PCs will always be more powerful than consoles, everyone ought to know that

Well actually, Dolphin runs my games very well on my (laptop) computer. I was really surprised by this since I tried a Playstation 2 game on here and it refused to go over half speed. But I didn't get my computer just for gaming; it's my all purpose portable desktop.

Just make sure you have a laptop cooler lol. Dolphin runs very well on my desktop and laptop, but my laptop gets pretty damn hot without a cooler since it has an i7 on it (which get hotter than i5 CPUs)

In all fairness, yes PCs will always be superior hardware wise, but not everyone has to be forced to be in love with any one console or PC game. Why can't people just agree that there are people who, like me, enjoy the Wii U? Is there some kind of unwritten law that forbids us to do so?

I say, let the haters hate, they're going to do it no matter how many enjoy the Wii U or any other console for that matter. What we do doesn't affect their lives, nor should it affect ours.

You gotta realize, this site used to be pro-nintendo, but it's only recently that this site has turned pro-sony.

You had an N64? Oh well, it had no games. Deal with it.

Even if you say that you liked games on whatever console that aren't first party says, the site jumps and goes "no you didn't, you wasted money. You want good games? Go get a PlayStation."

When the 3DS first came out, people said the same thing, Nintendo is done. Vita was confirmed and everybody was saying "yep, 3DS is doomed".... look how that turned out.

The problem with this site, along with any other site, is that just because it's Nintendo, it's "cool" to bash it. It doesn't have mature games? Nintendo is for kids. Don't bother fighting it. You won't win. You can't convince them to see that your opinion is different and that you enjoyed games on Nintendo consoles that weren't by Nintendo.

I know exactly how that is, and frankly, console wars/debates are trivial at best as they never get resolved and only lead to more bickering and divisions between fanbases. There are no victories to these debates, they go on for years and never get resolved. Whether there is a real hatred or not, it's hard to say, but they're are definitely are biased individuals who decide to bash it for many reasons. Not powerful enough hardware, not enough games, or not being mature enough for their needs. People bash Nintendo, but they rarely back up their facts with substantial information.

Never had to block anyone on here (I'm not here as frequently as I used to, god knows why)... not sure, but there are some extreme forums out there - this is not one of them.

Most People here go out of their way to help.

I can only repeat myself, but this is like the "home of the web" for me.

Well.... I have all the systems ps3, xbox 360, wii U, so I can be fair. I like them all. However I find myself playing the Wii U more than the other systems. The only thing that pisses me off is when third party companies make games like the upcoming Batman and How to survive and others that are crippled on the Wii U with no online multiplayer but they want to charge the same for the game as the other systems. I say F that. But I like games on all the systems for different reasons. I've just been playing Wii U more so that must mean something along the line somewhere.

Well I don't know............... I still have my Panasonice 3DO and still enjoy some of the games on it as well.

Oh really? Would thou care to explain how a console is "greater than" the glorious shine that is a gaming PC?

Does it have to do with the fact that consoles deliver inferior graphics and framerates? Or is it something to do with the fact that the games on consoles are more expensive? Or are you going to bring the argument that you like being locked to a single company's ecosystem? Do you enjoy having limited choices over peripherals? Or you enjoy not being able to experience mods and other player-created content? Do you dislike multitasking? Or not being able to work and play on the same machine? Do you find it enjoyable to be stuck with the same old hardware for over 7 years? And lastly, do you enjoy long loading screens?
