Hi everyone, I just recently ordered a DSTwo for my 3DS. I have been hearing news that the DSTwo is slightly thicker than the regular carts and so I was wondering if it could damage my 3DS in any way? I tried looking this up but couldn't really find much on it. There was one thread on this here but didn't really talk about the 3DS and I also read that the pin on some 3DSs were bent because of this. Can anyone please answer these questions. Thank you!

It shouldn't damage it I don't know were you read that. I have the Zelda limited edition 3DS and never had a problem with my 3DS. Yes it feels a little tight but that the same way with the regular DS.

Oh okay, so you're saying that is wouldn't damage my 3DS at all and that I shouldn't worry? Sorry, I just like to sure so if there are more people who can also confirm this that would make me feel much better.

Its fine. The DSTwo is the same size as regular carts with a slight bump under the sticker that hides the chips inside. Its nothing. It fits perfectly.
Ah okay. Just out of curiosity, how long have you had the DSTwo for and how is the build quality?

And thanks Vengenceonu and mkdms14 for replying so fast.

Your 3ds should be fine. I only have a ds lite and the ds is not damaged at all.

I have herd about damaged systems by the DSTwo, but that is rare.

I've been using a DSTWO on my 3DS for over two years, and my little brother uses one on his and he's had them for about a year. Not a single problem. The cart is definitely thicker near the chip (the sticker willa ctually wear down over the chip over time, not that it makes a difference) and it may, depending on the batch, be harder than others to remove from the 3DS (you may need to try a few times before it will pop up enough to grab it), but that's the only flaw, really.

That was a bad batch of supercards. They didn't work at all, That was a long time ago and you don't hear about damaged ds's anymore.:)

I've yet to hear of DS's damaged by that batch. The only "bad batch" that I heard of were ones that had contact issues that wouldn't read the microSD.

I've had the DSTwo for several months and the build quality is great. I also have an r4i 3ds gold and it feel like cheap plastic to the touch compared to the supercard.

Ah okay, that makes me feel a bit better. Hopefully mine won't be damaged in such ways. Thanks for the response!
