Cyrus ended up making me another Golden Chair, so I have two Golden Chairs and a Golden Clock now.

Not a bad thing to have two chairs, but I would rather trade it for a Golden furniture piece I don't have yet, better if someone needs the golden chair.

Gamefan5, do you have any need for a second golden chair? Got any spare Golden Furniture or maybe three gold nuggets to exchange for it?

Nope and nope. I do not want any spares actually. And the only gold nugs I have will be used to furniture refurbish.

Yep, Gamefaqs is useful for that.
Gonna relax in the game with a friend. XD
I prefer not to trade on GameFAQs, the user community there can be surprisingly greedy and unreasonable.
I trade on 4chan's /vg/ board instead and find the Animal Crossing General thread, the users in there are far far more reasonable about doing trades, and can be fun to hang out with, I've visited people's houses, gone on island tours or just generally hanged, it's all good.

Thx for mentioning it. I think I will go on that site as well.

It is 4chan though, so keep in mind that they are pretty unfriendly to "newfags" and some of them can be pretty raunchy and rambunctious at times.
A lot of the users on there can be perfectly level headed and proper bros though.

Just assume usual ACNL etiquette and lurk for a little while, you'll see how things go. It's common practice to use a pastebin link to advertise what you're looking for and what you have to trade.

The sloppy series is quite difficult to acquire, I hear that they only occasionally show up at re-tail or as lost & found at a police station.
If you have Benjamin as a villager, he also has a set of sloppy furniture in his house, so if you get the chance to be invited to his house, try talking to him until he asks if any furniture catches your eye. There is a chance he will sell you a piece of furniture he's willing to part with, just hope he's willing to part with any sloppy furniture.

I'm not sure if the sloppy series can be ordered from the catalogue, luckily the first post of Animal Crossing Generals always has some handy links for information such as this.

Edit: I checked it out, the sloppy series CANNOT be catalogue ordered.

Very very useful site.

By the way, have you remembered to download your Shaved Ice Lamp DLC from a Nintendo Zone hotspot, if you are European? These Shaved Ice Lamps are highly coveted as they cannot be catalogued orders, I hear that they go for outrageous prices.

Yep, sold them for 1.6 million this morning. Not interested in the set,
They are not reorderable.

LOL, but nah, don't mind, she even told me there's high demand for it.
What's the big deal of it anyway? Is it cause you can't order it?

It's because the series is rare and rather difficult to acquire. I sell the pieces because truth be told, I find it rather sloppy. XD

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
