I'm more curious how Nintendo can "supposedly" block a card that hasn't released yet... I call BULLSHIT on that one, fellas.

Its simple people who find security loop holes in technology are often paid by the companies that own that tech if they report the bug/loophole, not every hacker will publicly release an exploit

One such example below.

Facebook gives UK man $20k for discovering security flaw

U ppl are so impatient give it time they said they will release a new video this week so just wait if we hear nothing by mid July then I will jump on the fake bandwagon until then just chill :-)

This is the email they sent to me this morning..my apologies if this has been repeated:

it is coming out very soon, and we will release more news this week. Sorry about
the delay, it was unexpected, production is not always as smooth as we might
think so.

Dont know what to make of it, a supposed video this week, if nothing comes out this week screw it Im updating

I might expect that... Because Nintendo made a huge ''defense'' in 3DS and it is not in the 1st try ( 1st flashcard) that will already pass this defense, but in the end we expect that flashcards will win! =D

I thought the vid would come this week. Not next week. Can't wait for news, I'd love to see how will they deal with stuff like upgrading.

but hey, "- insert quote about patience here -" ;)

Its kind of the same story with the UKey..3-6 weeks been hearing that since 2 weeks ago LOL..I have a feeling both will never be coming out..just a way to string people along giving them false hope

Yeah I mean when the news first hit they said in about a month. It has now been 1 month and they are claiming more info next week and that the product is coming soon. As someone had mentioned they had a major holiday in China in June and that could have effected the production cycle. In an 'unconfirmed' email response they said that Nintendo's new update was not a move to block them but they may need to update code to get it working on 6.x. I am staying on 5.x until the cart releases and we see how they handle the 6.x process.

As for it being fake....let's hope not. A lot of vendors are offering and taking pre-orders. Many of these vendors are not pop-ups but have been around for a while and seem convinced their is a product (I am guessing some of them have had 'demostrations'). So lets just chill and see what transpires next week and beyond and if you are really serious about using this than just hold of on your update until more news comes....I mean my lord what 'features' or games do you want so bad that you need this update?

As for WiiU-Key......unlike gateway, the wii-key team is a known group that has delivered working products in the past. Why would they risk their reputation and honk off customers who have purchased the wiikey or their other products by lying? They gave no dates themselves and no price or pre-orders have begun (that I have seen). So just pan down on that product. I mean lord if their is a WiiU ODE within the first year of its release that will be super, I am guessing they will release the thing closer to the end of the year when the WiiU sales will be picking up do to the bundle of good games coming and the xmas season.

The level of entitlement here amazes me, you know if you are so pious just update and buy your software......no one is making you use 'backup' devices and no one cares if you support a given product or not...trust me if any of these products hit the market and work they are going to have plenty of sales with or without the bitchers.

Thank you friend. I agree with every single letter of your post.

I have said much of that here myself, but I'm afraid few people give importance.

Glad to see someone else that thinks this way.

You guys need to get patient. Hold onto yer' eyepatches and rum bottles, as the manufacturing isn't always so smooth. And for the people calling this the new Crown3DS: Gateway team actually answers emails, so the possible-fake factor drops by a noticeable amount here.
