the chances you would kiss your console goodbye on the spot are greater than that the device double hit of "A" itself if you drop it.. i persume..
Indeed xD

I don't suppose you had a chance to see my twitter proposal. If you didn't my idea would essentially involve you tweeting a few times just to let us know if Gateway indeed loads and saves 3DS roms. Essentially this would tide us over until a full scale review is released (which I figured would be a while since you stated you plan to play every available 3DS rom).
I was talking to Devin last night in the shoutbox. Our guess is that the reviewers are getting the sample at the same time everyone else does.
You are also forgetting that Nintendo released a firmware update that blocked the Gateway 3DS unit, and as you should know, they're working on a workaround to get it out by release. And by the way, two years is nothing for a first generation flashcard. The DS took roughly the same amount of time, if not longer, and those things were freaking clunky as hell.

I remember getting my M3 CF (Slot 2 flashcard) on DS around summer 2005, prior MKDS release which was on November 2005. (DS was released Nov 2004 (March 2005 in EU)). So nope it definitely didn't take 2 years. And the M3 CF wasn't even the first device to be released, it had already numerous features and improvement over Supercard.

I just remember taking out my friend's NinjaPass flashcart about a month or so ago, and it's like what the hell, we've really come a long way. That's why I just find it really funny that people are constantly bitching about the "tedium" in having to carry around some SD cards.
I'm glad you posted then.Nothing else to add.
Can we have a thread lock until something relevant is announced? Been checking this daily only to find more and more useless information such as the one I'm quoting.

God damnit, you beat me to it.Your post is also effectively useless.
As is mine too.

I'm considering getting the 3DS Gateway flashcart, but I'd really like to play Animal Crossing: New Leaf in the meantime. Seeing as the Gateway's release has been delayed to hopefully overcome the latest official 3DS firmware patch that blocked the cart out, I guess it would be ok to update my 3DS to this firmware. I mean, if they actually release the Gateway it would be fixed to play on the current firmware right? They wouldn't just give up attempting to fix it, send out claimed copies and dishonor a lot of their customers, would they?
I'm more curious how Nintendo can "supposedly" block a card that hasn't released yet... I call BULLSHIT on that one, fellas.
About a week and a half more at best.So when is this thing delayed until?

They may have blocked it through more accurate and far more strict policies in verifying whether the cartridge inserted is something that is "allowed" to be inserted. If this happened, then the software on the GateWay may need to be changed in order to account for these changed security policies in the 6.X 3DS and above.
