I'm sure most will agree. Alternatively, if you just want a decent time sink, people love Monster Hunter. Dunno if it's up your alley, but it's not substantially more expensive than MK7 if it is.

Already have that for Wii U, so don't really need the 3DS version :P I was thinking about Mario Land 3D, but some say it's not long enough. I figured Mario Kart 7 because of the online racing. Well, MH has that too, but yeah, I'm fine with MH3: Ultimate.

I've heard that some people don't like the analog stick for this game, is it really that much of a nuisance?
The analog stick works really well for this game in my opinion, way better than using the D-pad in Mario Kart DS. Of course it takes some time to get used to it...

That's good to know. How does the online racing as a whole fare? Replay value? I want to make sure it's money well spent.

Online works really well as long as you have stable internet connection. It supports 8 simultaneous online players. You can play online with random players or create your own room for playing exclusively with friends. The online multiplayer has a points system where you can win or lose points depending on your performance in online races. There are some kart parts that are only obtainable by racing online.

There are no modes other than single player, time trial, local multiplayer and online multiplayer, so it doesn't have a mission mode like Mario Kart DS...

You can NEVER go wrong with Mario Kart. It's well polished, the new tracks are exciting, the selection of Retro tracks are very good, also gliders.

The downside is that it lacks extra content. Battle Mode is limited, No Vs. Mode (in Single Player), No Mission Mode from MKDS. You gotta take the bad with the good though.

Not entirely true. You can get parts by obtaining VR, but you can also get them from collecting coins offline. Once you reach 20,000 coins, you've got every part.

VR? Online mode sounds pretty solid, I might have to get it off of Amazon as it's now ~$30, which isn't half bad :P

Well, since there's no way to utilize any sort of cheat codes yet, it's not really possible. That one glitch that allowed people to skip half of a certain track was also patched by Nintendo.

Gotcha. Oh, and I just ordered it on Amazon. Thanks everyone for their feedback! :P Should be here by the 21st.
