Hello! I want to play Wii games on my Wii U through USB, but I don't have an SD Card to perform the exploits with. I do, have an SD HC card, and a USB thumb drive. Any chance this could work?

Thanks for your time!

Check this

http://gbatemp.net/threads/full-vwii-softmod.339899/

and there are other exploits you can read up on specifically for the vWii.

You're welcome.

also, please do everything in order, do not skip a step. even do the optional cIOS236 patch in this method if you do softmod your vWii. it will be for the better. if you get lost, please do ask questions. =]

Smash stack works just fine with SDHC (i am using a 4GB SDHC card myself)
How did you do that? I have 4GB SDHC too

I was under the impression the lack of support for SDHC was due to the game not supporting it, rather than the console. What's changed from the good ol' "SDHC ain't gonna work for using smashstack" days of wii past?

Its only Bathaxx, indiana pwns and the star wars ones then need the SD card rather than the SDHC isnt it?

Well, according to Wiki, you're all wrong (and from what I remember too). You can use SDHC AFTER hacking vWii. You can get lucky with SDHC cards, but a larger portion of them don't seem to work. Also, the ones I've seen work for others, they had to make a new partition table with a 2GB partition.

Smash Stack
Note: An SDHC card will not work with Super Smash Brothers Brawl. You must have an SD card that is 2GB or less.

Bathaxx
SD card (not SHDC) formatted as FAT16 or FAT32

Return of Jodi
SD card (not SHDC) formatted as FAT16 or FAT32 (Preferably FAT16)

Indiana Pwns
SD (NOT SDHC) CARD formatted as FAT16 (FAT) or FAT32.

Eri HaKawai
SD card (not SDHC) formatted as FAT16 or FAT32.

Yu-Gi Owned/Vah
Copy either the "private" directory of the 50Hz or the 60Hz version from the archive to the root directory of an SD card (2 GB or smaller).
