So my R4i 3DS keeps freezing(as the title says)...Now I'm not exactly sure why. I have the newest Kernel Update from r4ids.cn...and I think I've got the latest firmware update on the card(3DS V4 5.0-10)...though I have yet to install it. The reason for that is because whenever I put in my flashcard, it freezes!

Now I recently got a new MicroSD card(lost the old one)...one problem might be is that I'm pretty sure I got the most recent update of the 3DS(which I think worked one my old one)...but I'm not sure. When was the last update?? I have gotten things from the store recently(I wanted to get Fire Emblem, hence the update...)...

So that MIGHT be the problem...or it could be something else? I have the Kernel in the SD's mainroot...so yeah..

What's the best way around this...I don't know too many people with DS anymore...my one friend might have one....I think...but I do know there is a way to use an old DS to "reboot" a card(or something like that)...Or do I need a new flashcard altogether now(like the one with the wifi...is it worth it??? Will I still have the same issues?)

Thanks for any help anyone can give..

The first thing i would do is, make a back up of the microSD and format it using the Panasonic SDFormatter.

I don't know how to do any of that haha....I format through my computer but I'll try it the other way too and see if that works. Thanks!

How do I find all that out? I'm currently reformatting it again but it's a SanDisk...How do I know if it's loaded up right? I put everything in the card's main root...that's how it should be right?

I meant loaded right up with roms, so there were would be hardly any space left on the microSD, that could cause issues.

Try just putting one rom on the card to see if you still have the same problem.

So I did a full reformat...and then put one rom in(along with the Kernel)...and still have the same exact issue.

Hmm weird...because the one I had WAS working then stopped after i had trouble running an update and I had to shut it down...since then it hasn't worked(yes I just remembered this haha)...since it hasnt worked...I thought the SD card might have become corrupt...but another one doesn't work?

Wish I had a third SD card...:-/
