Hacking DSTWO update question

Ok Im about to recieve my DSTWO in the mail in a few days and I was wondering if the flashcart gets blocked by a new 3DS update can I patch it with my r4i Gold 3DS when the DSTWO patch becomes available by loading the patch on the r4i Gold 3DS then taking it out and put the DSTWO in?

You can't cart swap on anything past a DS Lite.

However the DSTwo is special and has it's own secondary update method you can use.

But you should just avoid the 3DS updating in the first place to be safest.

Yeah, if you have a Lite there's a method to cart swap on the DSTwo too last I heard.

But you should just not update the 3DS, wait for the DSTwo team to make an update, then run the update on the DSTwo first, then update the 3DS.

Then the 3DS won't block the DSTwo and you won't need to do that.
