What is the current emulator of choice? I'm staring at my supposedly "Limited Edition" copy of Skyward sword that I just can't get into because, frankly I suck at waggle. I do! I'd really rather just play the dang thing with a controller of KB/Mouse and see if I can get into it.

Any suggestions?

Lets put it this way. I can't get past the first fight with Ghirahim due to my waggle suckage. I'm told it's because I'm trying to play the game sitting down, and the Wii motion is expecting a wider range of movement than I'm giving it. Meh! So not happening.

I'll give Dolphin a shot. Thanks!

I've beaten the whole game on while lying in my bed... xd that should do it.

Maybe try a different strategy!

Also you can import/export your wii saves from this emu! :D

Thanks for pointing out, what is the site I used then? ;o

Their old domain, they moved servers last year. Then there's the forums, where one can get assistance

You won't be able to play Skyward Sword without a Wiimote. It depends heavily on motion controls and battles are focused around it.

Even if you can emulate the MotionPlus you won't be able to kill many of the enemies because you need to swipe the Wiimote in a specific direction and you just can't emulate that well with a keyboard or gamepad.

If you emulate it with the mouse, you'll end up doing the same thing you would be doing with a Wiimote, only in a more difficult and less intuitive way. It probably won't be very enjoyable.

That's terrible news! I think Skyward Sword will have to be the only Zelda game that I haven't beaten that isn't also a cereal or on the CD-I

I googled around a bit and found some discussion about a classic controller hack that someone was using... but no actual links or tutorial. :(

Have you eliminated the possibility that your wiimotion+ might be faulty or something? It was pretty nice to use for me (except for the damn tightrope balancing sections, grr!)

It's not the wiimote+, as I have 3 of them. I'm just very terrible at waggle. I was excellent at Metroid Prime Trilogy and Twilight Princess. The + just wants skillz that I don't have (I am so lame! :glare: )

But the motion control is so bad, you can barely play it WITH a Wii remote.
You should try getting a replacement then.
Game works and has worked fine here, no isseus at all.

You know this game requires skill, change your strategics, lol.
DO NOT WAGGLE, the sensors will pick it up.
FYI I also played the whole game lying on bed. ( being sick as hell )
