Well I loved the demo, and i think it would be great.
But after the single player campaign, what exactly is there to do? It seems as though nothing (Although that doesn't say much, as i only played the demo)

What is there to do after the campaign? Thanks!

After (and while as well) the campaign there are weekly free Spotpass bonuses, like enemies (characters from earlier FE games) to fight and recruit, items, maps and multiplayer stuff (local only :(). On top of that there are many sidequests and also some (paid) DLC.
I think it's definitely worth it, especially if you liked previous FE games.

Well there are three difficulties you can challenge, Normal, Hard and Lunatic, you can opt for newcomer mode or classic mode where lost units are lost forever. You can always replay the campaign and try something more challenging.

Yeah but you can do that for most games.
Apart from that does the game just end?

I do not have finished it yet, but it is very interesting. After I finish it, I probably will max out every rank between the characters just to hear the dialogues, they're quite interesting.
All in all I think you can't go wrong with FE:A if you like these kinds of games.

This serie had no end-game content at all and was being made only for turn-based strategy fans before Awakening.
On Awakening they added more casual contents, but the addictive part of FE is still replayability starting all over again on more challenging difficulty.

There's sort of not really such a thing as "after the campaign" because while you can beat it, you perpetually remain in it regardless. It's stuff like the support library (which isn't possible to complete in a single playthrough), SpotPass content, and DLC that the game offers you to that gives people incentive to continue playing, even if they've already reached the ending of the game.

There is no online multiplayer.

It's an excellent game. I can see people being bummed that it didn't allow for any kind of online challenge maps where you compete with people or co-op with them for real instead of the stupid dual challenges.

But it really stands on top of the 3DS library. Graphics actually make 3d look cool. Characters are likable and memorable. Plot is a little generic but executed well. And all the technical elements that were good in the other games are elevated to new levels. All in all I'd give it a shining review. Probably the only 3ds game I've thought highly of.

Would you recommend it over something like a fighting game that i could play over and over online and offline?
Or is it a game i would play heaps?

I have Street Fighter 4 and I can give you the hour count.
FE: 119 hours
Street Fighter 4: 21 hours

Those are my stats but obviously someone with different preferences will look completely different.

Who whoa, again don't use me as the rubric. I like Srpgs a lot. I have like 130 hours in Devil survivor too.

That Fire Emblem is one play on Hard-classic. One lunatic-classic and some of normal-classic. Average story length is somewhere in the 20 hour range, 30+ if you grind. Here's a site I like:
