Define dip and alcohol. Not sure why the other members jumped you when this is a valid method of cleaning contacts, you just need to know how to do it. Cleaning contacts with a q-tip dipped in high-volume spirit with no additives (scent, flavour, sugar etc. - you need pure spirit, not perfume or liquor) is a good idea - putting the whole console in a glass of beer is not. For future reference, this technique actually involves taking the console apart if the contacts are not exposed, so it's not something for you. Your system needs new screens due to damage by moisture exposure - those can be replaced. To get rid of the rest of excess moisture, put it on a bed of rice in a sealed box, then set it aside for a day or two in a warm place in your house. Cover the rice with a tissue first to prevent dust from entering the system. Rice is very moisture-absorbant, it will absorb the excess moisture and vapor from the air until the console is completely dry.
