Hello, I'm looking for a cheat for Prime 3 (not Trilogy) that allows you to have the max Friend Vouchers (not Green/Friend Credits), which should be 26. I found someone that tried to fiddle around with it, as seen here: http://wiird.l0nk.org/forum/index.php?topic=3922.0

But I had a friend try to make it work with USB Gecko (the "Max friend vouchers(26) 80997AC8 0000001A") part, and it didn't work out for him. Would be great if anyone can help out with this (find out it works for you) or point me to the right direction in terms of how to make the proper code.

And that friend would be me. I ran it through USB Loader GX, as my purchased copy of Metroid Prime 3 (along with quite a few other games) was stolen from me by an unknown thief awhile back in college. I checked the file paths, along with USB Loader GX's settings and they all should have worked. Unless there's a button activation that I'm unaware of (and I doubt that there is, what with so few lines of hex) then I honestly tried everything.

To be fair, this guy had one hell of a save file. Maxed-out everything, without using codes once. He even has a 100% walkthough of the damn game up on his site, done....well, pretty much perfectly. I suggest checking it out if you have time.

.....What? Can't a guy plug for a friend of his?

That's the site I linked to. Unfortunately they didn't work on the USB Loader GX for some reason.
Excuse me. I don't know why I thought you posted something different. Anyway, those cheats are reported to work. I would suggest you try applying different hooks.

*loads up USB Loader, finds what you're talking about*

*begins wondering which one he's supposed to set it to for Metroid Prime 3*

*decides to take poster's advice and do it the "SCIENCE!!!!" way*

Sorry, new to hacking with the Wii, and I'm only basing it off my friends. What do the hooks do?

Edit: Never mind, just saw your reply.

When I had issues with cheat codes, setting the hook type to OSSleepThread usually fixed my problem.

Tried it. Then when it didn't work, went back to my loader and checked the settings. They had reset back to before I changed it to OSSleep. And I distinctly remember hitting save before existing the game's boot settings.

I also made it a point to go into the settings for the loader itself and set it to OSSleep as well. That reset too, after my attempt failed and I went back in.

Well, I'm plum out of ideas....and apparently starting to shed hair over the matter. Any suggestions?

I think the cheat only works if you hold z and c while starting the game.
At least this is how it worked in the MPT games, nevertheless you still have to unlock all the "presents" in order to spend your vouchers.
So to be short, you better get playing!

Interesting, I'll tell my friend to do that. As for unlocking everything, I've already done that. My file shows that I have 23 Friend Vouchers, though I technically should have 26. The reason for that is because I moved my main save from slot 2 to slot 1, so I permanently lost three Friend Vouchers I already unlocked. This is more or less fixing a pet peeve.

Great also a veteran here!
Hopefully this cheat can help you get the missing vouchers.
I was in the same predicament a while ago since I had no friends playing MP3.
GOD I LOVE THAT GAME SO MUCH!

EDIT and of topic: That RPJE7C game in my Winnertag sig is actually Arc Rise Fantasia undubbed.
I changed the Title ID myself from RPJE7U, since Wiibackupmanager cannot manage 2 games with the same ID on a USB HDD. I changed the U to C ( standing for custom ) using a HEX editor since Wiiscrubber crashed trying to change this game. Also the older tools to do this efficient I could not find on the net.
It's also nice the save files are interchangeable, the game is so much better without the overacting american narration.
WiiTDB Does not hold a cover with this ID, that is the reason no cover is showing.

Is there a cheat to just get you friend credits?
For the MP Trilogy there is.
The cheat gives 99 on all credits slots, including the green friend credits.
As far as I know there's no cheat to JUST get you the friend credits alone.
I downloaded it via USB Loader GX.
It involves holding c +z while starting your game.
You still have to unlock the various extra's in order to spend your credits, so it does not ruin the game to much IMO.

I haven't tried the Metroid Prime 3 standalone disc as this game is included in the trilogy.

I don't want it for all credits, because I don't want to cheat.

I understand.
I would suggest you play the game first to unlock all the credit options.
After you achieved that, run the cheat to get the f-vouchers to purchase the remaining extra that involve f-credits. This is the way I do it.

Remember, even if you have all credit's you STILL have to unlock the extra's in order to purchase them.
It's not like you can buy all extra's if you have enough credits. Either way you'll have to play the games to make the unlockable extra's purchasable.
So the game is NOT completely ruined by using this cheat. Also the extra's will not give you a winning edge in the actual games. It's mostly art work and music, apart from the screen shot tool and Mii bobble head and stickers.

It's not that hard to get the needed credit's if you know what to do to get them.
Make sure you at least play all games on all difficulty modes as fast as you can while maintaining a 100% item/logbook status. Destroying all things on bosses that are destroyable.

You are more likely to get your 100%, Best time after you have completed the games first.
After that the games are a breeze really and feel like coming home every single time.
I love them!
