Gaming Project X Zone Firmware Question

Will it be playable on older firmwares like 4.5.x? I am asking because Game came in Japan before firmware 5.x was made so it is obvius that game doesn't require some new components that are in 5.x. Overall, It would be really bad if it would not work on 4.5.x because I cannot update firmware due to homebrew

Most likely, from what I know most games usually bring an update with them, if you want to play, you'll have to update.

Mario Sticker Star was 4.3.0 for USA and 4.4.0 for EUR
so yes Project X Zone will have at least 5.1.0-11 maybe newer

It might technically not NEED the new firmware per se, but it's very likely that it will be included on the cartridge, forcing you to update anyway.

That sucks. I would understand for some game to include system update if that new update added some extra stuff into firmware that are needed to run game properly (like new iOS games), but this is just stupid. PxZ is perfectly capeble being played on older Firmware and Japanese version prooves that. If nobody makes hack for 3DS soon, people are gonna start losing patient. I myself will start saving for Japanese 3DS and use it as a primary one, while using europian 3DS for older games, DS homebrew and possible 3DS homebrew in few years

the other reason is because not everyone has WiFi, my half brother had his 3DS and it was still on 2.1.0-3, so i used my carts to update him as he couldn't spot pass me due to me being on a higher update than him

People with no WiFi can always go outside and find one in restaurant for example

its not always available, some people even turn off there 3DS when not using it, so its really handy for that, New Super Mario Brothers 2 to get to 4.1.0 and Paper Mario for 4.4.0 and Luigis Mansion 2 for 4.5.0

You can complain all you want, but this is standard industry practice (not just Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft do it too). Whatever firmware is available at the time of release is the one that will be required for the game.

Yellow & Neimod have already said that they have no plans to release related hacks, even if Nintendo didn't patch it in 5.0.0. There is no point in staying at lower firmware.

well then that sucks for people who chipped in money, to help with the project because if it is not getting released. then it was all for nothing, which makes me quite upset that i donated when they had no plans or interests in releasing it.

De-capping 3DS has nothing to do with NATIVE-FIRM exploit that 5.0.0 patched.

Yellow & Nemiod are looking for hardware/low level related exploit, something a firmware upgrade cannot patch.

Those are separate things, the exploit they found in pre 5.0 firmwares is what they won't release as it's already blocked, the chip decap is has nothing to do with those finds. You should take another look at the 3DSbrew page to see what decapping is. Can't believe you put in money without reading what it's about.

If any of you read some of my previous topics, you would know that I already know Yellow and Neimod wont release it, but that doesnt mean someone else wont. If 2 hackers did it, it is prooven that its not impossible. Someone else will do it.
