Finally received my screen!!!

I haven't soldered the cable, as it is really a small point for soldering. however, the brightness is perfect for playing around the house, specially without lights in bed. I may solder it at some point, but so far I think I will enjoy it like that for a while.

Thanks all for your advice!!!

Just cranked out my first front lit GBC for a customer. They're a snap to mod as long as you cut the front light assembly itself and not so much the GBC shell (which allows you to place the assmbly horizontally like it should be, instead of being illuminated from the side).

Very cool! Is it about equal clarity as a AGS-001? Your mod work is the best I have ever seen. Packaging is out of this world from the pictures I've seen. For your level of detail and quality control you really deserve notoriety. I hope to order from you soon.

Anyone who completed the mod have any tips for trimming the plastic? I'm finding it difficult x__x maybe my hobby knife is too dull I'm not sure but this is daunting.

I was thinking of doing a mod to put a cell phone battery into a GBA or GBC as a rechargeable battery anyone know of a good battery to fit in there?

I wonder how one would go about modding an SP battery into the AGB o_o

I don't know if double posting is allowed so I'm just going to edit this in.

I failed my mod, the unit just powers up and then turns off. Is it a goner or did I just wire something inorrectly?

I chose solder point two, and just let the wire sit astray inside the case.

He will reply. I modded mine a week ago more or less...

Can you upload a picture of the GB with the screen on Wiggatron??? It looks really cool.

HeroicJocker, I did mine just with a kitchen knife.... XD

Just be patient and don't press too hard!!! For the battery thing, I don't really think it is necessary. You can simply get rechargable batteries and that way you won't fuck up the GBA!!!

Are you still doing the GBA mods? I emailed Zerey about two days ago and he never replied, but after doing a bit of research I found out that you're his connect in the US.

Yup! Hit up the website for more info www.rosecoloredgaming.com

The GBC? Yeah, gimme a bit here to snap some shots...

Since i'm sick at home (the flu, no work for me today) i had time enough to be bordered with multimetering all the connectors on the 32pin agb-001.
Ang guess what :sp: the pinouts are exactly the same as the ags-001 display! Except for pin 33 and 34, but they are there to give power to the forntlit, so that is no surprise.

Only one minor issue though, both main boards have the connector mirrored.. so you can't just simply pop in the ags-001 display into the agb-001, you need to mirror the cable, that's all...
So when my extra ribbon cable's and connectors are in, i only need to solder the connector mirrored on the cable and the 'mod' cable is finished..

The guy making these cables should really give a discount on people requesting the 32pin mod cable ;)

Hey, could you post or send me the pinouts plz. it would be SO appreciated :D

Looks great! Which display is that? Wiggatrons?
No, that's an original AGS-101 screen from Nintendo. Took it out of my GBA SP myself.

Update: Modified an Energizer Wii inductive charge pack to fit in the stock battery compartment. Guess I don't need to cannibalise my SP motherboard and battery now.

The upside is now I can just set it down to charge it. The down side is I sliced my hand open to do it.
