Hardware Looking for new gaming GPU

I'm in the middle of heavily upgrading my computer, and right now I have a crappy hd 6450, so obviously I should get a new one, but because of rules from silly parents who don't understand computers very well, I can't buy one until my birthday in July.

Depending on your budget, something like a HD 7850 or 7770.

Yeah, as Originality said above, it all depends on your budget. You won't get much help without some sort of budget (Even if it's only a rough budget).

Make sure you don't get too awesome of a card, you CPU is a potential bottleneck.

I was thinking, the hd 8000 series will most likely be released by then and I could buy the 7000 cards for cheaper.
My budget is about $110 CAD

u could also get the one that gifi has as it will run modern games except crysis 3 at great settings.

depends on your budget and what you want to get when playing games ie. speed range- do u want it playable or exceeding fps

My other considered option is to buy a used 6750 for slightly lowered performance

Look on ebay, I just got a 6870 for $110 and a 6950 for $125. A 6870 is better than a 7750

I'm confused, are you currently running LGA775 setup or do you plan to buy LGA775 motherboard?

With $110 CAD, go used for GPU like GTX 460 (1 GB 256-bit) or HD6850.

I already had a good enough processor and just bought a better board because the pc I already have is a BTX.
EDIT: I'd buy it but I won't be able to until june or july.

Bet yeah, look for HD6850/HD6870, or GTX 460 used.

AMD is releasing more 7000 series cards soon, most likely lower end stuff, but that might bring some prices down.

Keep checking. I check ebay many times a day, good deals are picked up quickly. Most 6950s go for like 160, I struck gold with mine.
