I am so fucking ready with all my "yes's" but you know SE isn't going to tolerate this....with one C+D letter..this project will be canned...and since it's all over the internet news like Kotaku and not silently being worked on..like it SHOULD BE they OBVIOUSLY know it's existance...square enix is going to sit back and wait years and then before the final release..and say "this is ISO friendly and promotes piracy...ahhh" "you can't do that ahhhh" "destroy all your hard work of years of these files of the translation or be fined / lawyered into the ground...ahhhhhh..."
they showed their true colors with the Chrono Trigger sequel SNES Rom Hack "Crimson Echoes". It was a precedent of setting an example of a closed and unfriendly company. and one I will never forgive or support. If they got anal about a SNES ROM hack. Then they will get butt***king mad over a PSP game. especially editing a ripped file of a "copyrighted media" (UMD)
...I hope the publicity isn't going to bite them in the ass....
and to The Kotaku editor who pretty much let the cat out of the bag and possibly fucked the whole project?? When Square Shuts down and puts a gag order on the project because YOU REACHED out to THEM.....
kill yourself.
Stanley, if you have taken your time and read through all the post, you will notice that this has been brought up several times. I will repeat it one last time, we will cross that bring if it ever comes up.
Even if SE did decide to shut the project down, the game can still be translated. Albeit, it will not longer be in a form of patch. Rather it will be in a complete website; more complete that what is already out there on the web.
Also I would not consider Crimson Echoes the same league as a translation project. That was a rom hack creating a completely different game using Chrono Trigger's rom and game engine. Even I would be upset by this if I was SE.
We are actually in contact with the Jason on Kotaku, he's a pretty nice guy. He had his reason to post, just like anybody else online does. Should he have not posted the article...maybe, but it's too late now.
Crying about it is not going to undo anything. We would rather concentrate on the project.
So please if you don't mind, you and everyone else planning on posting anything about C+D can stop it. We are not dumb, we can put 1 and 1 together and figure out the answer is 2.
I will also bring up to the team that we should no longer post any update of the project, since this is just getting ridiculously repetitive and tiresome. Would that put ease in your mind Mr.stanleyopar2000?
For everyone else, thank you for all of your positive thoughts and support.
