Also Does Wiiflow look through subfolders for covers.
Nope, just if you use plugins with custom subfolder set in the ini.

Booting into and returning to selected source would be a class improvement if ever possible.
A new update which automatically returns to the last coverflow will follow soon.

Does anybody know what the proper arguments is for mplayerce running on hdd? Everything shows (covers, movie, ect) but everytime I launch a movie it just black screens on me.
the only thing I can think of is the argument.. here's what mine looks like..
arguments={device}:/{path}/{name}

Ok so to answer my own question about how to get plugins to load faster is to simply have it all on the hard drive. It damn near loads instantly compared to having to wait to load on the SD card.
Also with my new 3TB Hdd, I was able to fix my Devolution problem with it not wanting to mount to my hdd in case some ppl heard the Devo has problems with 3TB hdd. I just reformatted to a single FAT32 with 62kb cluster. So again, Thanks to all who has tried to help me figure this sh!t out.
Wii Party Time!! :grog:

With the mistype of 62kb, I thought I should ask. :)

Which cluster size do you mean? 32K is fine, but 64K will mean that you can't play around with nands.

No I meant 64k cuz when I reformatted I didn't get the option for 32k which I thought was weird. Nands are running fine here too.

Not so amazing wiimanofthenorth, you and ToddofWar420 use the nand in a completely different way, he never touches neek, he only uses emusave, he said so a few posts back.

I'm having a few problems with the scummvm plugin. (Please note that the scummvm 1.5.0 Jul 21 16:51:13 standalone version of scummvm works fine, and doesn't have the following problems. The scummvm plugin seems to be 1.5 Jul 2 not Jul 21)

When I try and load LOOM CD version through the scummvm plugin, I have the following problems.

1) LOOM CD does load, but I have no cursor. I can bring up a cursor if I press 1 on the wiimote, cancel and go back to the game. Then I can start to play.

2) From the moment the LOOM CD loads, there is no audio at all and never starts.

3) When I quit out of scummvm plugin to go back to wiiflow, the wii seems to be put in a loop of trying to load wiiflow but never does. So a cold boot has to be done every time to get back to the Wii menu. This has also meant though that even though the Wii menu has loaded after a cold boot of the wii and the HDD (The HDD seems to get locked out?), a couple of times I've had to mess about and re-install wiiflow because something has been damaged, even though I've waited 10s with the wii off before turning the HDD off.

EDIT: After the last crash it seems, I no longer get an option after pressing Exit to. It just goes straight to the Wii Menu.

Amazing. With my 1.5TB drive I had to format it to FAT32 32K from FAT32 64K because nands wouldn't work. http://gbatemp.net/threads/need-hel...t-looking-for-it-to-work-with-wiiflow.340521/

I wonder why it works for you, but not me? I miss the FAT32 64K because games loaded a lot faster under that. I used http://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html is what I used to format my drive to 32K.
That is actually the partiton manager I used, it just didn't give me the option. I just thought it was the Hdd thing or something. But I wasn't really worried tho. I knew if I set it to 64k then things would be faster and if I find problems then I would try to fix this one way or another. But I haven't tested to see if it's got a sleep mode: so how would I go about testing this and if I do have it, how do I change that? (btw, took me 9 hours to transfer just my Wii games from hdd to hdd)

you're always on top of things E. And glad to see Garfield back. :)
You guys are awesome!!

Hey man try these programs they are what i used to set up my drive :)

to check if your drive is sleepy
1. Run CrystalDiskInfo in your PC http://crystalmark.i...fo/index-e.html
2. Connect your HDD
3. Select "Function" tab
4. Select "Advanced Feature" > "AAM/APM Control"
5. It will open a new window, select your HDD
6. Check your Advanced Power Management (APM) settings
7. It should shows a 80h value (every value over 80h is good)
8 If it shows a value inferior to 80h you have a sleepy drive, and you should check for help
9. THIS TOOL DOESN'T MODIFY YOUR APM SETTINGS, IT ONLY SHOW PERFORMANCE!

for cluster size i used this
Paragon partition manager

http://download.cnet...4-10904411.html
install run right click on drive and go to change cluster size if you want 32kb clusters so you need to change the sectors idk what it would be for a 3tb drive but for my 1tb it was 64 sectors to get the desired 32kb cluster size

good luck man prob have that list for you tomorrow

Thanks Dump, I will have a look and see what I find.
Hopefully there isn't gonna be any trouble with the drive.. but knowing my luck.. eeeh lol

I've got a few basic questions:
  • Since DM now supports Multi Disc games, I was thinking about using ISOs instead of the extracted version of the games that I created with DiscEX. I'm afraid that performance won't be as good though. Does anyone have any experience with using ISOs vs the extracted versions in DM and can report on whether one is more compatible or works better than the other?
  • Is there a way to store Wii Game save data onto SD or USB without running them directly from the EMUNAND?
  • Has DM improved their NMM capabilities. I remember reading that NMM was kind of hit or miss with DM, but I'm not sure if it's improved since. How do you enable NMM (is it as simple as modifying an entry in the wiiflow.ini file)?

I haven't updated my DIOS MIOS for a while so I'm updating it now, as I didn't have the multi-disc support.

So how do I go about having two discs in WiiFlow? It shows two boxarts from what I'm seeing here, and I don't know what to name the ISOs.

Now that I remember what I'm going a little more this one ended up a little easier.

I present to you the Devolution Plugin r169

http://www.mediafire.com/?a6p41tp5jjqm835

This one doesn't need any prep. Obviously you can edit the INI file if you want it somewhere else for ISO files but the included one looks in the games folder just like the sample loader just that it can do sub-folders, too.

You will probably have all the ones in sub folders named "game.iso" but the normal WiiFlow way of loading actually recognizes it no matter what the name is so you can change that. The best part is that this way Devolution actually returns to WiiFlow in a GameCube coverflow instead of some other random plugin like before.
So I added the plugin to source menu (last icon on page 6)
MBsvY.jpg

but now all games are named "game" or "disc2" (given that I have a Dios Mios setup)
Is there a way to display the game names and covers without affecting DiosMios
Screenies of unselected and selected coverflows:

The nice thing about this mod (if the game titles and covers can be fixed) is that it won't require any copying of loader.bin or change in game boot settings and will be an option for a GC/DiosMios only setup

Thanks for the mod
Will be added to the pack next time too
:)

Nice Icon Abz,
I had the same game title problem with Devo plugin too.
Hopefully there's a workaround

You guys are awesome!!

Some drives have their own software that allows you to change things like sleep mode. You might want to check for that. Also...

I just looked up my old posts, XFlak told me about this program for sleep mode about 2 years back. It worked for me, it turned off the sleep mode on my drive! http://download.cnet.com/Ashampoo-HDD-Control/3000-2086_4-10929035.html?tag=mncol;1 It might work for you? Use at your own risk and good luck!

Is anyone running the Retroarch plugins from USB. Wiiflow and Retroarch roms are both on USB.? I just get black screens when I try to start games. On the Retroarch page it looks like it only works from SD. Anyone got any info.
