Hacking SNES emulators hang on startup

This happens with both SnesPSP TYL as well as Snes9X Euphoria. I launch the emulator, and it immediately blackscreens and hangs. The PSP will not shut down normally, I have to pull the battery after this happens. There's a slight difference on TYL where it flashes white for a second and only then hangs.

I'm on 6.60, running PRO-C permanent. PSP 2004. Someone please help?

That's the one I have, I also got it from that wiki page. Sorry if my wording was a bit confusing.

Did the memory card come with the unit? If so, the user might have plugins set up on it (and plugins can cause issues with some homebrew). Wipe out the contents of the /seplugins/ folder on the memory stick, then restart the PSP and try again.
