Yep, Borderlands 2 won G4's GOTY, not surprisingly. It beat the game Dishonored in the last round by a 75% - 25% margin. It previously beat games like Assassin's Creed 3 (thank god, that game is terrible), Mark of the Ninja and Forza Horizon.

And to mark the occasion, with all the rewards they've been winning such as G4's contest, Spike VGA's and others, they've been giving out codes for SHiFT. These codes will give you 5 keys for use in Sanctuary so you can get a little bit closer to that 87 bazillion gun loot you want.

PC / Mac: WT5TB-XC5ZC-CX3T3-BBT3B-B35WB
Xbox 360: W3KTJ-FZ9CS-XS6BR-K6JJ3-XCFXT
PlayStation 3: WTWBJ-HKZ9C-TCCWB-ZT5JJ-6HRZS

These codes will be available for the next few days.

If you want to see which games beat which and by how much, click the link to see the bracket.

I can't say i'm surprised by this, it's a blast to play and i can't get enough of it.

I'm only on the second playthrough with Maya. Level 44 and in the Caustic Caverns right now. I wanted to play the Ms Scarlett DLC, but I hit the wrong button on my game and now I had to start from the beginning lol. I got that to go through, and Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage as well. This game requires so many hours. But at least the writing is top notch, and Anthony Burch (Hey Ash Whatcha Playin) should be proud of himself for doing such an amazing job at a young age.

Not quite sure what you mean when you say you hit the wrong button and had to start from the beginning.

I'm really into this game big time, i haven't had so much fun with a game like this for a long time..

This is as predictable as a Mario/Zelda game being #1 on Nintendo's Top 10 games released in year XXXX.

F.Y.I For the stupid people, XXXX is a variable. Plug in a number, and that's what the game of that year will be.

This game is fffing ridiculous. I have been trying to farm an infinite pistol / conference call for about 2 weeks now (level 50 versions). I have killed some of these things like 500+ times and they have dropped NONE of their legendaries. I think the PS3 version is bugged or something.

If Borderlands 2 wasn't even in consideration for Game of the Year by various gaming outlets, I would have been disappointed, since it's quite possibly one of the best games of this current generation. Steam has me clocked at around 250 hours on the game and there is still too much crap to do. I bought the Creature Slaughterdome DLC the other day and while I don't think it's worth the money, round 5 is insane at level 50. Great game though, too much crap to do just to finish everything and get all the achievements plus you pretty much have an unlimited Badass Rank which means you have to play the game with all characters until you have unlocked each one.

On the main menu, I hit an option that made me restart from the beginning, instead of continuing after killing the Warrior.

I don't understand how it has unlimited Badass Rank. I mean there's only a certain amount of challenges, and once you do them all...then what? :/ As for the Slaughterdome, yeah the last level was pretty tough. I kept getting killed by the Shock Skags. But to be honest, I liked Finks Slaughterdome best. Mainly because when I went in there, I was using the Sniper Rifle obtained from the mission "Hyperion Contract #873". It made for fun times. And the music is awesome to listen to!

Any game with Face McShooty deserves accolades.

You can keep creating new characters and getting more BA points. It has diminishing returns, though. It takes a higher BA rank to get more BA points, and the stat gains drop to 0.1%.

Actually from the new update, you can reset your BA challenges after 85% of the main ones are completed.

But then what's the point. I want to keep getting my stats up.

Also, I wish there was a way to get the Bee Shield up high in capacity. I can only get it to like 3000 :/

As with the others, I'm not surprised. Easily one of the best games I've ever played.

Go to the character select screen I think it is, and you can switch your character back to the normal mode playthrough.

When you choose to reset the challenges, it just resets the challenges. It does NOT reset the points/stats you get from completing them.

The pistol has a drop rate of 1.8%, I believe. The Conference Call is even less.

Conference Call
The only reasonable way to get a Conference Call is to:
1) Start another character.
2) Reach the end of True Vault Hunter Mode.
3) Kill the Warrior, but don't call the Moonshot Strike.
4) Deactivate and then reactivate your Badass Points (to manually save).
5) Get friend to join game.
6) Call Moonshot Strike.
7) Let friend collect Orange items.
8) Let friend deactivate and then reactivate their Badass Points.
9) You then ALT-F4, or quit without saving (whatever method that is, for console).
10) Once he's full of oranges, tell him to give them to you.
11) Hope that he gives them to you.

Trust me, this is faster than farming the Warrior, even considering that you have to beat the game again twice for this method. I've heard of players killing him over 1,000 times, and still no Conference Call.

You have a roughly 75% chance for him to drop an orange this way, with perhaps a 18%-20% for a Conference Call.

Infinity Pistol
As for the Infinity Pistol, to speed up the process, use the water geyser that is near the Happy Pig Motel to launch onto a rock right next to his spawn location. You can kill him at least once every 30-40 seconds this way.

The Bee isn't supposed to be a high capacity shield. You can use character abilities or relics to increase it artificially, but due to its low base capacity you won't see much of a return. The Mechromancer is the best character for the Bee given her homing bullets and "shield 100% restored upon enemy kill" ability. Easily makes up for its low capacity.

What character are you playing as?

Right now I'm the Siren. I can't decide who I want to play as next, either Zero or Gaige

People on the PC can just use Narin/TJ's compilation table and use the "only legendaries" drop rate modifier.
http://gbatemp.net/threads/borderlands-2-cheat-compilation.337814/
Also the code to change an item's level and let you take low-level rares and raise them up to your level.

You know, just in case PC users have tried to farm a weapon forever and are fed up.

Lol I just got this weapon in the Sanctuary chest called "Derp Duuurp" And it's a launcher, and it apparently has 149k damage. Yet I can't find anything when I google it... joke weapon like the fibber?

Maya is primarily a health based character, given her powerful percentage based regeneration abilities in her Harmony tree. I'd recommend using the Evolution Seraph shield, as it drastically boosts her HP pool and further enhances her regeneration. For this shield, you need 120 seraph crystals. I recommend farming Pyro Pete for them.

As for which character to play, the Mechromancer is fun, although somewhat gimped at this stage. One of her skill trees is based on Anarchy stacks, which are stacks that are gained upon killing enemies. You're expected to collect upwards of 500 stacks for your character to truly shine, but that's not the issue. It's that you lose ALL stacks upon exiting the game. When you spend 45 minutes collecting these stacks, it's starts to wear thin when you lose them for simply logging out. Also, you're extremely weak when you don't have any, making it very difficult to kill enemies later in the game.

Just a warning. :P

Nope, real weapon. :P It likely has several drawbacks, like low capacity, fire rate, reload time, or accuracy.

There's no specific entry for it because it's not unique (as I posted in the main thread, the golden chest gives out purple-level, never legendaries or uniques).

Derp is one of the prefixes for Togue weapons, and Duurp is a suffix. Hell, the Nukem is one of the Torgue legendaries, so it's possible to get a "Derp Nukem".

I want one, just to own it...

Eh, there's more to her than anarchy. I've seen builds that focus on Deathtrap wipe out entire levels (upshot robot skill adds to his duration for each kill, and he can have at least two AoE attacks), and she has a focus on elemental stuff as well that can deal lots of damage of specced out carefully but I know less about this, only skimmed the topics.
