What the hell was wrong with the ending? Seriously, am I the only one who liked it and thought it was fitting???

Aha. Someone who disagrees. Let me see if I can persuade you to the dark side.
Let's start with the simple fact that in one of the endings you see Sheppard breathing for one second.
That ending tells me one thing specifically. Because Bioware can't commit and because it tried to push the game out quickly without focusing on the story who is based on choices, in the end they decide to give us a half-ass ending which did not have much choice which you as a player spent time building since ME1.
So a gay ending like that shows a production rush to market without focusing on the story.
The ending should have had at least 16 different endings. Different is the keyword there not 5% plus or minus difference.
So now let's discuss why you like it.

This topic is now officially about the ME3 ending.

Apparently you're looking for Mass Effect to become the "sci-fi Final Fantasy" where every subsequent game is completely unrelated to previous installments save for the words "Mass" and "Effect" included somewhere in the narrative. If there were 16 completely different endings...how could there be any future games in the Mass Effect Universe? You'd rather they just make an executive decision and say "Hmm... Let's make ending 4 the canon ending, completely shitting on the people who ended their stories with any of the other 15 endings, and continue the story on from there." What you're actually pissed about is the fact that they already knew where they were going with Mass Effect 4 and only opted for shitting on 2 endings.

Actually, the root of the problem is the fact that the company was thinking of sequels instead of making an amazing game. I haven't actually played ME because I hated the gameplay, but from what I've read I'd say that if the game ended with multiple endings, they should stop with that part of the story arc. If you make decisions, it should end with that game if your decisions actually matter. Otherwise, what's the point in all the decision making?

A great game where your decisions matter would be a single game with no sequels.

Yes, decisions. Or lack thereof.

How can you just give a shitty ending to a game which was popular because of choices?

So now i get some shitty rushed ending because people who write trilogies are dicks. Same as Matrix. Out of the all possible endings they picked the shitty one.

A great ending is the movie Inception. Because it builds up to keep you guessing until the last moment where everything cuts to black. People can than say that it's either reality or he picked his reality and he's in a dream. (But really it’s not a dream and we can discuss that in another thread)

But Mass Effect? Mass Effect gives you a giant Fuck You in the end. It says, Hey all that character building that you've done, all those choices that you made and we gave you different outcomes, all of those don't matter in the end. Because we here in Canada are kind of in a hurry to rush this game.
You know you got to give it to Nintendo when it comes to stories. They generally don't disappoint. They rather delay the game to get the story right than give you a shitty rushed version.

This is where Annonumous should step in and give us the 16 endings we deserve.

And you know what the funniest part about all of this discussion is? It's the Indoctrination theory. Indoctrination theory is people grasping at straws to explain or give meaning to an ending which they didn't get.

Fuck you Bioware. I will piss all over your games from now on.

Would it be possible for us to get back to the topic at hand?

Granted, I find the Mass Effect discussion more interesting, but it's out of place here.
