Ive read that transferring titles to the Wii U will remove them from the Wii

Unless you have a NAND backup.Well, the now released transfer app itself says on the description that everything you transfer to the WiiU console will be deleted from the Wii console and will not be able to be transfered back
Unless you have a NAND backup.![]()

Then there's hope that it will be just as exploitable. That's cool. But on another note it seems they didn't update the Wii system menu for the WiiMode at all ...

You can also re-WAD them and just reinstal them afterward ... at least the stuff you can fit back onto the NAND from the SD card.Good point, I can see that working for those of us who have bootmii as boot2 and NAND backups. All the data on both the Wii U and the Wii itself! You mad, Ninty?
I wonder what exactly this will do to what you have on your SD card.

It's automatically installed when you install the transfer tool from the shop channelDo you need new ios 62 to use this transfer tool?
niceIt's automatically installed when you install the transfer tool from the shop channel

Are you sure about that? It's automatically installed when you install the transfer tool from the shop channel

It seemed to have been for me, at least. Are you sure about that?
Look, its clear everyone's concerned bout transferring their hacked WAD vcs and save games for imports, this could go a few ways
1. The Wii U copies everything, including hacks/import saves
2. The Wii U only copies legitimate stuff from your region
3. It notices "Illegal modifications" and does nothing
4. It notices "Illegal modifications" and bricks/removes everything!
We just have to wait for someone to volunteer to be a guinea pig

That's an interesting idea there. . . I'm sure there's always the possibility that it won't quite work like with the IOS's or with the system menu which has an extra layer of encryption but it's worth a try.The Wii U 'import' tool is a channel stored in Wii mode, right?
Then if someone can extract the WAD of that channel, it should be possible to install it on other Wii (not Wii U), and transfer titles from Wii to Wii!
