Pre-Order Your Microsoft Surface Now

The price seems a little high for something that is basically a nexus 7, with a keyboard and some other laptop components.

$499 for the tablet is an okay price, but $599 for the same tablet with some touch cover is just crap.

At least it comes with MS office.

Looks like it could hurt Apple's market share.

I'm sure the lawyers are having sleepless nights looking for some flimsy infringement.
Microsoft has already made some agreement with Apple to make use of some of their tablet patents. Hence, the chance of lawsuits will be a lot less.

It's a bit too pricey, though the specs look decent, and the Microsoft Office inclusion is nice.

Too expensive. I guess I'll go with the Nexus 7 or iPad mini.
Speaking of iPad mini, Apple has already sent out invites. It will be held on Oct 23.

This tablet is seriously quite expensive (for our market). The reason why I chose iPad is because of its wide range of optimized apps (Solar Walk is fantastic) plus its quite cheap in our local market.

Microsoft always overprice their products in Singapore. Since the Surface base model costs $499 USD, it is likely going to be about SGD 700++ when it's sold here. Even an iPad with all 3 pages, keynote and numbers isn't that expensive.

Bit gutted the Pro isn't out until next year, even then I expect it to be delayed. Really can't wait to get my hands on a Surface Pro.

Although I'm not looking forward to seeing the price tag.

I know someone who has a "prototype" Pro.
A Samsung slate

He installed Win8 on both the slate and his laptop.
He loved it on the slate, it works excellent, but it sucks on the laptop....

You have to get your mouse pointer out of the screen, then click and "pull" to get the options to show in desktop mode....
Not realy handy...
But it works fine on the slate.

Good god the price. I don't see why I would pay so much for this shiz when I could just get a decent laptop for the same price or cheaper lol.

No no and no. This is only good to skateboard on. If we want a good costly proprietary os, we buy an ipad. If we want a free and good OS with infinite possibilities, we get an android.
My name is MAGSOR and i do not endorse this product.

Those prices are absurd. Even if it does support MicroSDXC, it's still overpriced by about 100 bucks per model.

Plus anything at a high price point is competing with the iPad. And the iPad has some heavy market domination at high range tablets. Your best bet is going budget or going somewhere else.

yeah..I'd rather buy an android tablet or even a *GASP*...iPad... before this planned overpriced failure.

The only reason why so many devs are interested in coding games for "Surface" is because Microsoft is paying them a lot of money for incentive.
