If any card worked I wouldn't have advice on them... what I was saying is that the stat that's important for flash carts (read speed) isn't what's listed on most MicroSDs. The stat that's important for most cases is the write speed, so that's what's listed.

It's like how people would normally judge a car by how well it runs and stuff, whereas you need to pick out a heavy car to crush an elephant with. That's not the normal use for cars, so that sort of stat wouldn't be listed on sites selling cars.

If I was on a tight budget I wouldn't be buying a 32GB, I'd go with an 8GB. I have ab 8GB and can store almost 100 games on it. The largest DS game is only 512MB, and there's only 3 or 4 of those. Most games are in the 32MB to 64MB range.

Don't buy cheap shit just because it's cheap. Ask anybody around here who's made that mistake and ended up with corrupt saves and games that don't run.

A lot of flash cart sites don't look very professional, they're pretty much all just chinese import sites.

I see well im stuck on buying 2x 32 GB. I have ALOT of games( not just ds but gb gbc gba and so on). Also maybe want to put snes and movies/mp3 on it so..

So how the f am I supposed to decide which 32 GB to buy??

U say read spead is the most important thing in the case of nintendo ds. While you say it's not listed, you also say it's because generally they all suffice in readspead. In other words, ALL SD cards have enough read spead. And since I don't need to look at write speed...

I still have to make a choice.. and after all this talk I still don't know which to buy,..

No, I did NOT say all SD cards. I already outlined what to look for. A decent brand (I named some), and a minimum class of 4 or 6. That may be what you see to be pretty common on sites that sell decent stuff, but remember that not all sites sell decent stuff. We do get people in here that went out to ebay or whatever and bought a no-name "32GB" class-2 from a chinese seller only to find that it was actually a 2GB card with a fake label.

A single 32GB for the DStwo is overkill; a second one is just wasting money, really. If you really want to, I'd invest that one on an SD card instead of microSD and use that on the 3DS itself. That lets you basically store a shitload of eShop games on your 3DS, and if you're into 3D movies, that too.

Seriously, even if you can squeeze 32GB worth of games on the DStwo, it's not like you're gonna be able to play ALL OF IT. Worse, you might end up finishing nothing, because you're too busy putting in hours into everything, seeing if it's good and then moving on and never getting back. A good, manageable number is 20 games (per genre; 20 for DS, 20+ for GBC, but they're small enough to shove everything in and still have space for more; 20+ games for SNES, 20+ games for GBA), with a few quick play games and maybe one or two 40-hour RPGs or something like that.

I'd recommend at most 16gb for the DStwo. Go 32GB on the SD card for the 3DS itself, if you want to. I don't recommend getting two 32GB microSDs though.

Just don't get anything less than a Class 6. Aim higher, if you can, when it comes to Class. You can't go wrong with a higher Class.

Thank you ferofax for your reply, I just don't like switching alot of cards alot etc. hear 3ds backups can be quite big I see, eventhough it's not possible at this point.

I don't understand what you are saying though. The DStwo is an SD card correct? You buy an microSD to put ur games on and then you put microSD in DStwo sd card or something correct?

"A large chance" being "they will never do that, don't hold your breath on it".

Don't worry, "solutions" will pop up in time and sites like this one will be the first to know.

Yea i know, That's no biggy. Ill just buy the few good original 3DS games then.

Btw Supercard DStwo IS REALLY hard to get your hands on.. No site accepts payppall or it's expensive etc.

Most sites stopped using paypal for flash carts in general, or the risk losing the money.

if i may say so, slightly off topic:

get a psp for GBA emulation. it is flawless and very beautiful! snag a cheap older psp and softmod it. you can also emulate all the nintendo systems you mentioned except DS, which you can use your 3ds for.

I can understand the appeal of all systems on one and do enjoy that, but when it comes to gba emulation on that flashcard it's not the greatest, especially if your a perfectionist. if/when 3ds is cracked and we can utilize the 3ds power for emulation you'll see a huge bump is old system emulation anyway and can reformulate your ideal emulation setup :)

That will cost me a bit too much money. I prefer to keep it on one system. Also not the greatest.. but from what I hear most games run very good/playable. Most important to me are the pokemon ones. But thanks for the tip. Not to mention I'd have to do a wholeeee ton of research again on the PSP, and see how that works etc.

I did a quick search and found several first generation psp's going for about $30. isn't that DS2 like...$40? :)

also, the research on psp softmodding has been so simplied since when i learned about it. it's pretty much as simple as download files. press button. done. plus you get the added benefit of playing playstation 1 games on the go after you convert them to psp.

I have my psp for all system emulation below N64, my DSi XL for nds flash card only(so convenient to carry only one card with the games i own on it) and 3DS XL for the current line of games and eshop stuffs.

although personally i prefer to play all my old systems on the pc instead of psp now, what with all the super flashy emulator shaders going around!

*Delurks*

Playing Pokémon games? Use the DSTWO. the GBA Emulator does The Gen 3 games near perfectly (maybe the odd frameskip or slight slowdown, but it's a pokemon game, there's not really any split-second timing involved), and The Gen4/5 games are DS, so they run fine. Just grab that, go to your local retail electronics store, buy yourself a good size, high speed Micro-SDHC Card (8-32GB depending on your budget. I've got about 45 DS games, and the entire NES, SNES, and GB/GBC Romsets on my 8GB card alone!), and go nuts. it's all you'll need. if you need help setting up the emulators, just ask on the forums. (they do require a little setting up.)

I already have a 32 gb SDHC and my supercard DSTWO is about to be deliverd today.

I looked on my national trading site (like ebay). And they sell PSP's for like 30 euro.. the thing is.. I sometimes read some psp's are unhackable and whatnot etc.. so i dunno if I should get one and hope for best..

For example this one : http://computer-software.marktplaats.nl/spelcomputers-sony-psp/595416114-psp-tekoop.html?return=eJxdjssKgzAQRf%2BloDsfUXQRkaJ%2FEjStYmKGzIS%2B6L93Uuqmu3PmXi6jpJCvVZYdyqqu5Am18tPSLUQgi2JzoPfcKr8RGKUI890UCNpMzkIg7TG7Kqvx74Zuf2SAUEyibdp8IWvOd9OLdMaeXFIPIqlHCAwlg2Eb6qaNWMWw%2FfK8MsceHD1ieK6sI15mPGboF9vY24PVfp1Ytxsr%2F8DoIE6JFCD0ZYqeegin7v0Bgk9PAA%3D%3D&df=1&fta=eNo1VFtu4zAMvIs%2F%2Bq23SBm5Qq9QUKLUDTZtjThpgy169xUl9ysTisPh05Ri%2Bt4TpOV%2Bvbx80mVf1j1hTMvjctJPvJ9uH0mv2z2p9aKT9WG9mKRD%2F%2BVzWrdN7Lf077yte%2BNdXG%2Fd9Lal9%2FtbvZ7L%2Bvcrbfu2fmznpJ%2B27X5ST%2Fv1dtruIuTSstFrXdb%2B2P%2FatJx5ZACIabE5G7alPowBW6Dxw9hYibXplgCOmbrFq0ihPmzGUllHATl476YFUR8g%2Bu6sgHUw3UIqcxSfjDUX259caDYL8LXl4ESLHVkBqEHVQ6IwzjjGwYxTmgBsgbBNwHxYWo98gINl6VAv9aD3hA5gleTjnIcsop5z7gUatKX52C0mRg2SYSw5aOgAiFoVZ%2B1RDRY0DRkmvVERYKIy9pDwaoCihyV7j8TSTJ2N0hPYGCdwWCfw0CYICBNEyhNAOehYwwTZHM7s1ARVj5ytM3XkE0qO5WgCz1SLKkLXBEYa3gG6qqUuqNHLCFzLGMXZY6ss3QBWAWnSTfgtMNhRMuk4Os%2FaVem8s8a2IPSMitUYru%2FGQQcyao4JzDFBqFKpJy44NgEb6DrWzwb0Qx1I%2BtMButlnwGClZPaSt2iVvqOihcp79buiY7W003GwNJuoJaD3hY1MMJCtTlY9cMxK4sTsjREW%2BD4dnOqtiXrfDR8kTt%2BrxjJBar2b0pYYCs1tichl0JVtUfJxpVCZT7agiPbpBxj9CT1lNUHFIreo%2B1nePjbi%2FeVS319vf%2BRclXwm0vJGjxe54H603B270aSFvpb1%2BYCfy0pJpe%2Bfn%2F%2BOF0bn&fta_ind=68&fs=1

Anyway you say I don't need additional hardware? How /where do I store games on? How do I softmod? and are there good/better hard mods too? This psp slim and I remember some year ago it couldnt be hacked if I recall correctly. What about latest firmware of sony any issues?

Hmm so I just should get one and not really pay attention to what type it is? and then see what firmware it uses..to what method I need.

Thanks. I think I will get one just in case since there cheap.

In general the question is whether to go for a 2000/3000, or a Go. The 1000 model is old, the thickest/heavier, and has half the RAM of the later ones (so some homebrew won't work on the 1000).

As far as the difference between the 2K/3K and the Go, the Go is smaller and has a totally different form-factor (it slides out like phones), but also has 16GB of internal storage built-in.

Thanks for the info. I guess I will try to get that PSP for 20 euro then I posted in the link. It's a slim one. So homebrew should work.
