Because we don't want people to listen to your council, which is bad and misinformed. We're saving them the trouble of having to reformat their drives because of insufficent support or features. You call everybody a noob who shaves with a hatchet, but you're the caveman here - you're sticking to something that hasn't been updated in well over 3 years, never to be updated again.

It's as if you recommended modchipping Wii's over softmodding them.

WBFS was a necessary evil due to a lack of proper libraries - libraries that were since ported, making it obsolete.

I am willing to give you the benefit of doubt, let's say you're *not* trolling. Give FAT32 a spin - check out the tools recommended, the load times, the homebrew compatibility, media compatibility, Gamecube loading... then voice your opinion. If you will stick to your WBFS love, I will respect that, but first, give the alternative a spin.

I used it for a year and it practically mutilated my 250GB Seagate Barracuda. Go figure.

So you can't be expert then if you got into such trouble. Why you saying about your hard-drive brand? Does it matter really? No!

You have to understand that with no File Allocation Table and no indexing, the File System is unable to keep up with fragmented files, and they WILL become fragmented overtime as you remove and add new files - they'll never be the exact size, they'll never fit in the "holes" left by the other files and they will fragment, eventually failing. WBFS will not protect you from this and you cannot scan it due to the fact that no OS understands it.

It's dead, my friend, and you cannot revive it.

I repeat again, though I promised to not do that. There is no need in fragmentation! Just don't delete files! You don't have to! It's not good for performance of any filesystem! Please, be careful to those who you answer and don't force them to repeat something once said...

...Okay.

Just don't delete files! You don't have to! It's not good for performance of any filesystem!

Let's officially add that as a feature of WBFS - don't touch your files or else it goes tits up. Agreed? That's one good filesystem, one that doesn't allow you to, I don't know, use your files?

With FAT32 and NTFS you can add and remove to your heart's content because you can *defragment* them. WBFS slowly but steadily decays overtime. Fact.

This conversation is officially over unless you give FAT32 a spin and tell us all about how much worse it was from your ancient WBFS drive. We can recommend you the tools for the job.

HOW WILL I EVER GET RID OF MY PORN THEN?

Man, just don't masturbate! It's bad for your health... People, you will make me crazy! Where did you found porn in Wii games?! :D Ok, I knew that it will end like this... It's time to say good-bye!

Wise people will understand what is good and what is bad!

I think my conciousness is fading... Fapped... too much... Farewell, cruel world!

Just keep yourself safe, friend! More safe, than your hard-drives. And everything will be OK!!!
...Now now, I never fapped my Barracuda, just my anaconda - that's different. Leave my Barracuda out of this, I'm not insulting your... whatever drive you have. Probably a hard one.

Look, like I said man - weigh the pro's and con's and let's wrap this up:

WBFS:
  • Little support
  • Discontinued
  • Prone to fragmentation and non-defragmentable
  • Practically RAW, so perhaps negligably faster
  • Supports Wii disc images
  • Does not support homebrew
  • Does not support Gamecube images
  • Does not support Media files
NTFS:
  • Supports non-split images
  • Supports Wii images
  • Supports Media files
  • Widely supported by coders
  • Discontinued at this point
  • Slowest of the bunch, again, negligably
  • Does not support homebrew
  • Does not support Gamecube images
  • Is defragmentable
FAT32:
  • Supports Wii images
  • Supports Gamecube images
  • Supports Media
  • Supports homebrew
  • Supports Auto-split images (most Backup Managers will do that for you)
  • Widely supported by coders
  • Continued development
  • Is defragmentable
  • Middle-man speed, again, negligable difference
That much you can agree to - no bullshit. Now everyone can make an educated choice.

Well maybe I was gonna go for a second round tonight but our resident Wii FS expert told me that I'll die so I'd better hold off. :creep:
Or worse, you could get pregnant. It's a proven fact that masturbating and using FAT/NTFS will get any man pregnant.

No, from masturbation is just hair on palms and short sight. And from FAT/NTFS you tend to dump your shaving blade in spite of wood-cutting instruments.

I still repeat, that WBFS is the best choice for using with Wii gaming. Fox, all your pros and cons are just non-sense!!! Nothing is really useful. You just put games and play! No more! For any other tasks like Gamecube games make second filesystem or put 32gb SD card in slot. Enough!

I PLAYED WITH MY WII TOO MUCH THEN. OH GOD WHY.
You'll have to chop off your Wiiner. Fortunately we have a chopping equipment expert on the premises.

I'll get DeadlyFoez to reprogram it. :creep:

My palms aren't hairy. The tops of my hands, yes, to a completely normal extent. My palms are hairless like most people.

Let's ask TaeWong what he things about hairy palms from masturbation.

What do you think about the Bob's Game font?
