Hacking fatal error: apploader size is zero!

Ok.... I really want this to go right. I tried burning discs but the brand was bad, so then my dad gave me his 32 gb usb that he doesn't use- DOES THE SIZE EFFECT IT?

No problem with the size I know of as long as it's formatted right ... but you wouldn't even get to the apploader error message if it wasn't formatted right.

Yeah, I formatted it right ofcourse. Could it be the iso?

I redownloaded the dol and NOW it works. I loaded wind waker and its up now, maybe I had a bad download/extract? I don't know, but it loaded on the first go. Now I can load a hacked melee iso without a disc, thank you for the download... (even though it fucked up the first time >_>)

The new version of USB Loader GX, r1202 here : http://www.mediafire...1voyas284vs6qiv detects the right setting automatically, avoiding this error completely.

Hey im tryin to get this working when i was using Dios Mios 2.2 whenever i dont have a disc in with the no disc option it gives me apploader size error and when i put in a disc it just shows the dios mios logo, then it flashes and runs the game in the disc drive and not the one i selected. I have tried redownloading usbloader gx and im using rev 1202 but it stil wont work............pls help me

Just a few questions to be sure:
Are you trying to run it off of the SD card or USB?
Does it do the same with all games you try?
Are you running it from the HBC or from a channel in the main system menu?
You mentioned the noDisk option, do you mean that having the option on or off changes something? (NoDisk SHOULD be mostly automatic now depending if you have a disk in the drive or not as opposed to the option you set. It's only really needed for a few specific games now.)

This error is usually caused by an incompatible loader for the version of dios mios you're using, although I had it in an old version when my sd card was not compatible.

Im tryin to run the games off my usb, and all the apps are on my SD
it happens with tales of symphonia and luigi's mansion, il rip sunshine and try that 2day
im running usb loader (latest) from the HBC channel and i have the no disc option ON

btw i can get DML to run perfectly but i only got a 2gb sd hopefully this can help a bit

Can someone send me what the files they have in there sd card exactly that has DML 2.2 working on the latest version of wiiflow or usb loader gx. I literally have tried everything this is my second week of complete failure. Ive gotten as far as my games show up and just load the game in the drive. Or when I use no disc plus option it just gives me the fatal apploader zero crap. Someone please help me out ive tried every tutorial with absolute failure. Im sure I have the wrong files. If your dml 2.2 loads up your games please send me the contents of your sd card exactly in a folder please!

Hi, I cannot get DiosMios to work with newer versions either. DM 2.0 works most of the time but sometimes fails to load.
Always used DiosMios Booter to do this.
I upgraded DM to newest version (currently 2.8) to make games load from WiiFlow (easier for my kid). Also upgraded WiiFlow to 4.0.1 (which is a nice version).
Never got i to work. I do know about the parameters for "boot mode" associated to different versions of DM.
I then tried to upgrade DiosMios Booter to r30. But even if this version supports all the new parameters I can't get it to work with DM 2.8.
In all cases the Wii just powers off immediately (never get to DM loader screen).
Now I have downgraded DM to 2.0 and things seem back to normal: DiosMios Booter works - WiiFlow does not (gives the dreaded "apploader size is 0!" error).
Actually I thought WiiFlow 4.0.1 would work if parameters were changed to 2.0 - boot mode - but no cigar.

What I did NOT try was:
Other loaders (don't wan't them - and I guess the problem would be the same).
Inserting an original GC disc while loading ( I don't own any these days - sold with GC)
DML. I never realized why I should choose DML (lite) over DM? I don't want to change too much and think Sneek is not for me (WiiFlow NAND
emulation works ok for save games).

I agree with some that the problem is related to the lacking detection of original GC disc in drive (and no disk parameter not working).
At least it explains the shutdown of the Wii. I wonder why DM 2.0 is better at this than 2.3 or 2.8.

Would be happy if anyone ever find a way to make this work :-)

One thing you might try is installing a clean BC v6 (You can get the WAD to install it with from ModMii for Windows or NUS Downloader.) That's the first thing that comes to mind when hearing that the Wii Just shuts down on you like that. I'm sure there are other reasons, too, but give that a try first.

Listen! I have been dealing with this issue for a few days now and I just figured out my problem so I will post my solution here because you all have been such a large help in helping me weed out my issue but here it goes...

Be sure the file name of the game is nothing but random letters and numbers don't make up your own use the symbols your dm ripper gives you for that game for example Zelda the wind waker is (GZLE01) and it contains a copy of the actual iso and a file named "sys" my ripper gives me these files in a really screwed up way I'm on Mac so I'm limited to using only wii backup fusion for extraction. Also I use CFO USB loader be sure to disable the admin lock password is B up down A home 1 2 ( BUDAH12) then click save settings then click the game you want to play and set it to FORCE NCST or FORCE PAL respectively. BE CERTAIN YOU DISABLE THAT ADMIN LOCK EVERY TIME YOU START A GAME I HAVE NO IDEA WAT IT'S FOR BUT I TELL YOU IT'S FREAKIN STUPID. anyways sorry for yellin but I pulled out a lot of hair over this problem I just hope I could prevent this issue from happening again and hopefully admin lock is removed for CFO USB loader all together from this post but thanks again you guys although you all indirectly helped me I'm directly thanking you. I have installed the Dios Mios 2.2 wad onto my wii 4.2u
Dios Mios lite worked before but after installing ive moved my games to my fat32 hardrive
My Wii games work perfect off of my fat32 harddrive
But whenever i boot a gamecube game on, configurable usb loader v70 r36

At the boot screen, fatal error: apploader size is zero!

Ive reinstalled the wad but no use

People online say theirs an error with 2.2 and to use 2.1
Well 2.1 does not exist and cannot be found......404
Can someone upload a copy and provide a link ill let people know if it works
But i do want to keep my Dios Mios updated

Does anyone know the solution to my problem ?

IF you are using Wiiflow, go to the gamecube's game setting and disable "No dvd patch"
Then it should work. This worked for me and i hope it works for you too.

I have tried wiiflow and dios mios booter and i cant seem to get the gamecube games to load i get the fatal error apploader size is zero. ive been working at this for four hours. any help would be appreicated. Edit: i dont think the dios mios wad is sticking and installing. any way to make sure.

Yeah don't use that one use discEX because I used dmtools once and notice that the files need to play on a wii were missing and cause the error app size zero.
USE THIS INSTEAD

man Ive tried everything on this forum and I still cant get a 'cube game to load.
Im so frustrated...breath...ok
Installed-wiiflow(updated today) USB gx (updated today) CFG (updated today), DiosMios 2.1. Apps running off 4gb sd card. Wii games off of HDD (wii games work fine)
so I can get wiiflow to recognize the 'cube iso but "fatal crash" blah blah when i hit play, with no disc in drive. with a disc in the drive it will load the disc (not the iso). ive been tinkering for months now to get this to work to no avail. Like I said Ive tried everything posted above...i know im close but theres something thats just not clicking...any and all help would be more then welcome
