Then explain why the first 8 bytes of your .iso files don't match the discs they were ripped from.
So you physically removed the modchip?I already said that I ripped the ISOs without modchip.

And yet you wrote a full page diatribe all about it.I'm sorry, but this is just stupid and I have no wish or desire to try to engage in cognitive dissonance in some bid to 'appeal'to the author.
Like spending your friday night writing essays about topics you supposedly don't care about on an internet forum that revolves around video games?Seriously - get a perspective on life and what is actually important.
He didn't add new limits, he just hasn't removed the already existing limit while removing a bunch of other limits by adding new features. Like, playing PSO online with the Wii.3) You are not Nintendo or any big platform holder. An 'underground console scene' should be about removing the limits - not adding new ones.
Sigh.... no idea why people keep repeating this. It is a response to a claim that nobody appears to be making. He didn't add new limits, he just hasn't removed the already existing limit while removing a bunch of other limits by adding new features. Like, playing PSO online with the Wii.
The quote is right there, claiming that I'm adding new restrictions instead of removing the limits set by Nintendo. Which is obviously false since I remove Nintendo's "limitation" that the original disc always be required.Sigh.... no idea why people keep repeating this. I'm pretty sure LibretroRetroArch was referring solely to the idea of an AP. An AP that is not working properly is a different matter unrelated to LibretroRetroArch's novel.
Couldn't have said it better myself. This is the reason why you get a lot of 'blah blah blah' and why I have to be dragged into a shitstorm argument with people that don't have the facts at all - because you people don't try out anything before voicing your opinions ever so loudly, which then turn out to be DEAD WRONG.
Hooray, we won't be subjected to another page of opinions dressed up as "logic" from someone who hasn't even used the app in question...
A person who is interested in the truth does their best to understand what a person actually meant, and does not make selective interpretations which dismiss what was actually intended by the speaker. Why would anyone claim that Devolution limits their ability to play games from disc? That's absurd. The quote is right there, claiming that I'm adding new restrictions instead of removing the limits set by Nintendo. The implication is that I am adding restrictions. Adding, meaning increasing or compounding the existing restrictions put in place by the aforementioned "Nintendo or any big platform holder". I agree it is absurd.3) You are not Nintendo or any big platform holder. An 'underground console scene' should be about removing the limits - not adding new ones.

I think it is quite clear what LibretroRetroArch "actually meant"; he clearly stated that tueidj was adding new limitations. If that wasn't what he meant (no idea how he could have meant anything else with what he said), I'd invite him to clarify what he actually meant, but I don't think that is necessary; his point was made quite clear, and was probably (correctly) dismissed by most people with a little sense. (My favourite part was when he tried to justify piracy by saying that without it, we couldn't pirate; I am referring here to how he said without piracy there wouldn't be ROMs for emulators)You are not Nintendo or any big platform holder. An 'underground console scene' should be about removing the limits - not adding new ones. IT IS NOT YOUR JOB TO ADD NEW SAFEGUARDS/LIMITATIONS to your homebrew
