I remember reading some news on other sites (such as ps3-hacks and psx-scene) mentioning about how the Cobra was allegedly fully reverse engineered, and that there should have been a .pkg soon to implement its functionality for everyone without the requirement of the dongle.
Needless to say, sitting with two BC ps3's, I'd been looking forward to seeing this functionality come at last. Yet so far it seemed like any progress on it just up and died...
Don't get me wrong; I'm appreciative that there has been work on breaking the DRM that the True Blue uses to allow its patched games to work and all... but I was really hoping to finally have that Cobra functionality, because I've a number of interested parties offering to buy my modchipped (and reinforced, etc.) PS2, and something like this would finally allow me to retire my PS2 to someone who could appreciate it further.
So like, was it all just a big hoax or something? Or was it they found it needed more work than the True Blue cracking?
I don't mean to sound ungrateful or pushy or anything to those involved... I'm just really hoping to see that project succeed, you know?
