Topic. I've got the go ahead to spend 30-40USD getting something that can do this. I can and have used WiFi backup tools, but unless there's literally nothing else using my Access Point, the transfer goes unbelieveably slow. (And it's not too fast even in optimal conditions) I was interested in a slot 2 cart, because hey, why not be able to play gba roms on my DS as well, but I know they're scarce now, and as with DS flashcarts, not just any one will do everything. I also looked (briefly) at the NDS adapter Plus and I looked at the Neo SMS4 a little a while ago, but now can not access their site for some reason. Almost everything I've read leads me to believe the NDS Adapter Plus can only be used for saves, and is therefore mostly useless to me. The one thing I read that sort of said otherwise is a line in the sticky that states "...to back up or restore the game/save on it.", I'm assuming this is a typo of sorts.
If I can get a great (read: plays most/all GBA roms fine, runs wood dumper slot2 fine.) slot2 cart, That'd be awesome but I don't know which sites (if any) sell them.
If the Neo SMS4 can dump ROMs, please tell me and as with the above, try to direct me to a trustworthy site that ships to the US.
If it matters, I've got a DS Lite, a Supercard DSTwo, a Supercard DSOne SDHC, and an AK2i. Edit: Oh and I use win7 (Enterprise) x64... so I hope the sms4 has 64bit drivers. (unsigned or not).
Paypal is not a required form of payment, but it is preferred. And I don't trust Western Union.
Halp please. :3

Keep in mind dumping with the 3in1 won't be possible once the internal battery runs dry.

Would the EZ-Flash IV work better since it has a miniSD slot?
or does Wood Dumper slot2 only write to NOR?
Internal Battery shouldn't be a problem, I've heard all you really need to replace them is another battery, a razorblade to detach the prongs, and some tape to attach the new bat.

I have *never* been able to get Wood Dumper Slot2 to dump roms properly.
It would always hang at around the same place and wouldn't dump anymore.

Looks like the neoflash site is down.

you should buy the ds backup gold, you can dump your own games of nintendo ds.In dealextreme you can buy it for 10 dollars here is the link:http://www.dealextre...l-121141?item=2

Can that dump games, or just saves?

According to the link it can do both, however I've heard of it before in my searches, and I dont think it supports IR-cart saves.
I kind of want to go for either an EZ 4 or the sms4 at this point. leaning towards The ez4 but I'm not sure where I can get a fast miniSD since newegg doesn't have them.

Are you using/did you use the newest version? I think it's r85...

Edit: For anyone wishing to go and get the EZ-Flash IV, it's still on eachgame.com, etcome.com and shenzhenbuy.com
I went with eachgame.com because they actually accept paypal whereas etcome doesn't even accept mastercard right now and shenzhen's shipping is outrageous (in comparison to most other china/HK based sellers). Realhotstuff.com is supposed to sell it as well but I was having problems loading their site as well.
please note this does not mean I don't want anymore replies. I'd like as much info on this as possible, and I'm not above buying another device, particularly if the Ez4 doesn't work as expected.

Sms4 works; it can dump DS games or DS/3DS saves.
The software runs on win7/64 bit.
It took me about 15 minutes to dump a 256MB game.

The slot2 [r85] version of wood dumper can dump the same game in 10 minutes.
I’ve tried wood dumper on ez flash IV and on other slot2 carts that i have,
all failed to load except on the supercard mini sd [need to be dldi patched].
too much work just to dump a game and it can't dump a save.

If you want less work, less hardware, go with sms4.

I'll definitely try it if I can't get the EZ4 to work. I'm comfortable with a command line so hopefully I can get it to work.. but If I can't, I'll go ahead and get that. thanks for finding a site for it, btw, googling didn't return anything relevant except their broken neoflash forums.
