Hacking Connect to PSN with hacked PS3?

apparently Sony blocked this permanently? My freind currently has a hacked ps3 using something called multiman or something and playing games off hard drive. Can he re-hack his ps3 to play on PSN? Or is this impossible.

It was enabled for a while but the guys who made the work around knew it was only going to be a limited time deal until Sony patched it up. I imagine Sonys recent update might have put this whole psn thing back to square one

You can't play on PSN. In order to do so, you have to be on the latest firmware. As far as I know, there is currently no way to bypass this.

hmm....actually..there is a way to connect a hacked ps3 to psn! well....if your friend is on CFW 3.55 he has to go to OFW then install this CFW (patched for psn to work) http://ps3.dashhacks...access-released

if everyone here at gbatemp thinks its not possible, I dont trust that source.

it's a news from 2011, it was possible for few months thanks to another team (Re-Bug) finding the password to access PSN.
Sony patched it few days ago, so it's not possible anymore.

You have these choices:
- use a Hacked PS3, but don't access PSN
- update to official firmware to get PSN, but loose Hacked PS3 (and it's hard to go back to hacked state if you update, as you need a hardware mod)
- Wait for another hack update to grant PSN access.
