A bit off topic (attention mods: here's a perfectly good reply to delete) An Elder Scrolls actually came out for the side-taco Nokia N-Gage, screenshots from the game:

Why?
What's so controversial about some screens of a (not so canned anymore) game?

Nothing. Yuyuyup just hates the way this forum works, yet won't leave it.

I hate the way that touch screen "battle" interface looked. Buttons would be vastly superior if a game like this ever came out.

The music alone gave me goosebumps....
Incredible well made, but like BlueStar says, I wouldn't like this game on a handheld :/ I'm the kind of person that likes to know everything in these kind of games, and therefore I check the UESP/TESWiki all the time while I play. Like really, every quest or so, I check it to know the best possible outcome.
That sort of thing is much harder on a handheld. Also, mods.

Yuyuyup always getting his posts deleted, of course, now I remember!
Seeing that there's a N-gage version strangely gets my hopes up haha.

That actually looked really cool. I think an elder scrolls game would be perfect for either the 3DS or the Vita but I believe that a 3DS version should require the CPP since aiming with the stylus seems like it would be harder to do since you need more precise movements.

Also am I the only one that thought the 3DS color looked pretty cool as well.

I actually tried that with elder scrolls III. After a few hours of reading all the crap in the first few houses and hoarding every tiny thing available, I read in gamefaqs I missed some timed event. I stopped there and never played an elder scrolls game again.

Oh my god, you brute! You killed Ra'Virr! I liked that trader! He buys moonsugar from me too.

Then keep the site open on your PC/Laptop/iPad/iPhone/Android... or you know, suspend browse.

Also, this broke my heart. I have never been teased so cruelly in my life... which reminds me, I have yet to finish the game's first story. I'll re-install the overhauled version this weekend.

I forgot touching the screen with you hand/finger is illegal./jk :tpi:

You can use your hands, you don't always have to use the stylus. Plus I'm pretty sure you can control the camera pretty well with a stylus and do so while not
covering the main screen.

If it was real, it would be awesome playing it on a XL. I would be nice if they made a original scrolls game for it.

Here some vita love. :P

Stream map off the cartridge to make it open world...
Say what?

Nevermind that, lol. It's a trick most game devs use to enable much larger areas for games using limited memory/resources. Think DSCraft (Minecraft for the DS) and how it is able to support uber large areas. It does so by "streaming the map" off of the microSD instead of loading just a specific chunk of area and then loading another chunk when you reach a loading point (usually doors). It's kind of constantly loading so there's no break in the action.

It's also a trick Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver used on the Playstation, where you can play the game from start to finish with little to no loading screens, because the areas are dynamically being loaded/read off the CD as you approach them. Result? No loading on doorways.

tl;dr no more excuse of the 3DS not being able to handle open world games.

Well the Morrowind World is not streamed but at least it is separated in cells like a grid.
But the original Engine has some hefty Overhead and this cant be fixed, it needs a Port to a new Engine that Bethesda doesn't have (putting id Tech 5 aside).
We all can only dream...
