hm... okay I was wrong for the title (actually I kinda suprise by my self they didn't make san andreas for psp)
that was vice city, I never be a fan for GTA series (unless it's the good oldies GTA 1&2), not even chinatown.

okay, good luck with your GO.

I have one last question before I'm done w/ this topic I think. When I go to gamestop looking for some used PSP Gos, what firmware should I be looking for? Will they get suspicious if I ask for something with an older firmware?

FW doesn't matter. The latest PSP FW is hackable, just read the Rydian's FAQ. You don;t need to worry.

I've read up that some PSPs have permanent firmware and that some have temporary firmware that you have to run every time you boot it up. Preferably I'd take the former, or is this the case for even the lastest firmware?

It really doesn't matter. The only difference is you'll end up spending ten seconds to rehack your PSP when you turn it off. It honestly isn't a problem.

I would recommend the 3DS because 3DS+DS library is vastly superior to the PSP's (even DS alone) but seeing as you already own a DS Phat, get the Go.

Don't even bother with the iPod Touch for gaming.

The PSP Go is actually an older model motherboard than the latest PSP-3000, so all the Gos that we've ever seen can be downgraded to a proper permanent hack.
Finally got it- its on 6.37 firmware. Now I read the stickies and the FAQ, but I'm a little bit confused as to how I would install a PERMANENT custom firmware on it? I'm aware that it only takes 5 seconds for a Fast recovery, but I'm that just that lazy.

Meh, why would you even want a PSP Go? There's a reason they stopped manufacturing them, y'know.

For normal consumers they're rather shit but they're fantastic for those who dabble in homebrew or piracy. Its definitely one of my favorite handhelds in years because of it.

Yeah, because the PSP Go is the only PSP model that is fantastic for this.. The design is horrible, and it has to be the most uncomfortable PSP revision to play for long periods of time.

Eh, I personally enjoy it! I have thinner, longer fingers so everything is fine for me. the portability is also a huge plus for me.

Man up, I've got the hands of a slender sasquatch and it fits fine. It's compact, easily portable, has some really nice features (like the save state one) and its affordable if you buy it used (and probably new nowadays as well).

This is seriously ticking me off. I followed the directions on the Chronoswitch Downgrader but I keep getting exited out when I run it, Getting a message "Error, your firmware is not supported" Its 6.37, I'm trying to downgrade to 6.20.
