Betas:

I would appreciate feedback on these betas of Snes9x GX, FCE Ultra GX, and Visual Boy Advance GX so I can know if they're good enough to release.
In particular I'm looking for regressions - things that worked one way in the previous release and now aren't working as expected. I'm not as interested in pre-existing bugs and enhancement requests - this thread isn't for that purpose. Some examples of things to test are:
- sync/performance/video/sound
- save states
- cheats
- etc
Please provide as much details as you can that you feel might be relevant, eg:
- which emulator(s) the problem is with
- if you're using SD, USB, or SMB
- if you're using PAL or NTSC
- your video settings - original, unfiltered, filtered, hq2x, etc

If bugs are found I'll try to fix them and post an update here.
Thanks all!

Well, anyway... I've noticed some improvements with Super Mario Bros. + Duck Hunt using FCEUGX which works fine.

For some weird reason, Snes9xGX gives me a code dump when I start it from the HBC. :/

Other than that... VBAGX, works fine.

Edit: Tested using HBC 1.1.0 and a wii remote.

Unfortunately, the camera on my blackberry doesn't work. But... if I could take a picture, it would be bad quality though. :(

Edit: Although... i did manage to take this using my old sony ericsson though:

by the way... I hope it's readable, as It took me ages to try and take a picture of it. I even had to draw the curtains, so there wasn't any glare on the screen.

Gamecube controller acts weird in vbagx when you are in-game, you need to press the buttons many times to make them work.

I can confirm this, the Gamecube controller has massive input lag in games like Metroid Zero Mission. Games like FF6 and Megaman Battle Network 3 also have random frameskips/jitters(no sound problems).

Is this different from the previous release? It doesn't sound like it to me.

@[member='Tantric']: did you manage to take notice of my screenshot of the code dump from attempting to start Snes9xGX which I provided?

I did. But I have no idea why it crashes. The debug info points to a crash before the app main() even happens.

Well, like I said... I had no problems with FCEUGX beta/SVN or VBAGX beta/SVN, not even with the previous release of Snes9xGX.

Edit: I'll try the latest release and see if I get the same result.

Both Snes9xGX v4.3.0 and VBAGX v2.2.6 give a DSI error at launch (homebrew v1.1.0). FCEUGX v3.3.0 runs fine! Hope you figure this out and by the way, thanks for your great programs.

@[member='Tantric']: Unfortunately... I'm still getting the "Exception (DSI) occurred!" screen when trying to load Snes9xGX v4.3.0 through both either the channel and HBC 1.1.0.

To be perfectly honest... I seriously didn't have this problem, when using the previous version of Snes9xGX. :/

Edit: Although... the latest versions of Visual Boy Advance GX & FCE Ultra GX still work.

@[member='Tantric']: Yes, the Gamecube controller input lag issue is present in VBA-GX 2.2.5 as well as the new beta. The jittery issue is present in 2.2.5 as well.

Let it be noted that the input lag is only during gameplay. There's no such lag during the emulator menus. Sometimes the buttons/directions will respond instantly, and other times if you hold them they won't respond for at least a period of 3+ seconds, and when it does, it feeds the emulator input for the entire duration of how long you held the button/direction. Button presses/releases also suffer the same problem.T

Wiimote/Classic Controller has no input lag.

It's a little late since the new versions have already been released and I don't intend to release any more.

Edit: I took another look and found the bug. I'll release new versions in a bit.
