3DS XL Hands on previews are starting to come out.
This one is from the examiner.com.
They think on the plus side the 3D effect has improved a lot but on the down side the speakers and volume are same as 3DS.

Oh hell, I want one so bad.

With the amount of use I've got out of my launch 3DS, the d-pad is flaking, the face buttons have hairline cracks, and the touch-screen is no longer accurate.
I totally want one of these, drawing on Colors 3D would be absolutely amazing, Ocarina of Time on that top screen should look fantastic if the 3D effect is reportedly improved on.

Seeing photos of the thing really solidifies that, it looks pretty nice in action. It also looks like it has a more matte finish, one that isn't prone to fingerprints.

The problem is you won't be able to transfer your profile to the new 3DS from your old one, you'd lose anything you had downloaded, or any progress in Streetpass Plaza, etc.

I'm keeping my old 3DS just in case.

I'm keeping my old 3DS just in case.

i thoguht you didnt loose anything with system transfer
you just do the transfer and it moves all teh internal storage over
then you swap your SD card (or copy the data from old to new using PC)
and thats evrything from old to new

that not how it works?

You just ask, open your new 3DS XL and do the transfer real quick then hand over your old 3DS

I have one on pre order from propelgamer for less than £165. free delivery.
I will let you all know my thoughts on the day.
Also buying colors3D (AGAIN) to test the screens.
Keeping my 3DS, getting this for the girly (but I am totally stealing it to watch movies)

PS.
I told you all about this 3DS super sized a long time ago. Noone believed me because the drawing I was given didnt have the second circle pad and it was so quick after first launch (december/january) I am supprized it took this long to release. Looks sexy though.

well yeah everything is transferable
many people already transfered ambassdor games to other console (e.g zelda ones, newer colours)
they also alraedy said it has an improved battery

jeeze, don't scare me like that, with system transfer it transfers everything, if you sell the normal 3ds before you buy the 3ds xl then you have a major problem and will loose everything as you need both systems to do the system transfer (which is stupid imo, it could have been done better like android os)

...They'll look the same as they do on the 3DS. It's the same resolution.


But why does that matter?
