1. no 1080p
Not confirmed, and even if you read that article and believe it, that's not what they said. The Wii U will have 1080p.
Wii U launch games will run at 720p confirms Nintendo
I know about that, in fact I even acknowledged it in my post, I repeat:

Oh yup. Later games will support 1080p but E3 2012: Using Two Wii U GamePads Will Affect Performance, Developers Say
...Wouldn't that actually negate any negative impact coming from the topic you posted just recently?
Like how? Launch Games wont support 2 GamePads and thats officially confirmed by Nintendo.

It isn't the processing power that causes this as the article wrongly assumes, it's because the Ni-Fi technology used for streaming only supports 60 fps. (confirmed by Namco)
For one controller you get a 60fps refresh rate, using two U gamepads splits that number in half, still nothing major.
But when you throw in a third gamepad the stream will only be 20fps which is too low for most games.

Hardware isn't the problem and today actually Iwata told us that third party games are only halfway looks wise when it comes to using the Wii U's potential.

Exactly, but it's not really a loss if we would lose performance. Having said that, it's really a matter of preference, especially seeing as I would be fine with 30 FPS if it meant I could play with someone else also using the Gamepad, while others might not. Forget my previous post, and this one, they're mere digressions picking at implications that may or may not exist.

Oh now I get it. Yeah you're right. But what about those who want to use to GamePads for Nintendo Land, etc? I hope later Nintendo throw an update patch for every launch game(at least first party games) to be able to use 2 GamePads. But that if Nintendo will give and DLC to their games.

Giving extra controller support via a paid DLC is not really smart. If Nintendo made an update (still could be called DLC, since it's downloaded content) for their own controller, I see no point in making it cost something (people will buy the new controller!). If there is a second controller possibility for other games (non-first-party), I'd imagine people buy the game because of local multiplayer (partly (or mostly) the reason why the Wii was so successful).

No one said it had to be paid DLC, and chances are, if they were to do it (which would likely be done via an update, if at all) it would probably be free.

I was talking about a patch. Patches for games are always free

sigh... they will never learn that nobody wants to type a massive number in.

How is it that hard? You already get to choose your nickname in the console for what friends will see (basing this off of 3DS). And you just put in one number, no different than putting in a name.
it's not hard, it's just a stupid idea. I guess it stops popular people (such as youtubers) getting there names stolen and unable to use them.

It's no worse than the people on Xbox live or PSN who have long ass names and crappy stupid characters to replace normal letters.

There's just a "send friend request" button for anyone you meet in-game. Which is what the real issue is.

Wait, I'm confused, is the first sentence about Xbox/PSN and the second part about WiiU?

As long as there's no Game friend codes too I'm fine with that. What made it more frustrating is having to share your game code as well as friend code to play with your mate online ¬___¬ (for certain games)

Yes, unless I missed something and there is a "send friend request" button on the Wii U.
Well we don't know what it will have. If Nintendo is going to keep up, and they want to take online seriously, they're gonna need that, and a mic.

There isn't. It's just one universal code attached to your console.

According to a recent Q&A, the WiiU will have the ability to add friends without having to deal with friend codes.

Q4-2 - Without Friend codes, can consumers be connected easier than now?

A4-2 - We’re not completely getting rid of Friend Codes, but a function of the “Miiverse” will simplify the process of making friends with another user in the platform by eliminating the need to input Friend Codes.

Just sounds like friend request.
