Hacking DIOS MIOS (not DML) is back?

Just a though, since there isn't actually a loader yet that will tell DM to load something from USB, how are the beta testers going to do the beta test?

Some idiot better not leak the beta on-line, otherwise... crediar might think twice about releasing it, at all.

He'd be best, making it a private beta to some well-known trustworthy developers (who are currently active) from the world of Wii Hacking, instead of distributing it freely to donors.

he wouldn't put all that work into it and not release it cuz some idiot leaked a beta. There's always a risk in leaks with private betas anyways

Some developers in the past have abandoned their projects because certain beta testers leaking their projects without their permission.

crediar will most probably make it clear anyway, like he's done with his recent versions of DML.

maybe the beta has some code in it that will report back your wii's private keys so he can hard code the final release to block those who leak it.

I almost think it was crediar that did that previously.... or I am mistaken. Either way, I won't blame him if he gets pissed about people leaking it (if it happens). It's happened enough in the wii scene and those that do leak stuff should be blacklisted from the community.

I have an idea, if they leak it... Their console gets instantly restored back to it's default settings with their original saves intact and without either cIOS, cMIOS, HBC, Priiloader or even BootMii installed. They wouldn't be able to use any exploits of any sort and it would brick their console, If they even tried it.

Edit: with all due respect to crediar, I hope DM does get released in the near future and it does well like DML did.

I'm sure that would count as malicious, yes, but besides the international nature of legality, I'm sure Nintendo would be pretty happy with the idea of completely unhacking a wii and making it completely unhackable.

Edit : heck, if it's open sourced, they might even take a look at it to give them some ideas.

If it's possible, I hope that someone can create a application that does something which does something like that. Even if it's just a joke that just blacklists your console from being able to hack it again.

Back on topic, is there any news about the beta version? I been away from GBAtemp for a while and I'm itching to see if it works as good as DML!

Also on the topic of creating apps for the Wii, I always wanted an app that allows you to delete the history messages from your Wii, they take up space that when piled up can be used for save files or Wiiware and VC!

No they don't. They are stored inside a system menu file which is always the same size even if you have no message history at all.
