this can either go to gbc, gba or ds section but i chose gba
i've gathered enough money to do some good internet shopping after getting KI for 10 euros from gamestop, so i'm gonna need a new ds flashcart and the dstwo is on the way, but now i need a gba flashcart and gbc flashcart/gbc cheat device/save backuper, any advice?

Many will say the DSTwo does have a GBA emulator but it is not perfect so a proper GBA flash cart might well do.

About the only proper* GBA flash cart still produced is the EZ4. Not sure where people tend to buy them these days and you will want a miniSD to go with it.

*the EZ 3 in 1 is still readily available but requires and works best if you couple it with a DS slot device.

GB/GBC flash carts... gaming grade ones arguably do not exist (what is available is usually some old stock of an ancient legacy device like the old bung carts that do the job but are expensive and awkward* or devices intended to play little sound DJ that lack proper save and multirom support) but the GB/GBC is emulated very well on everything (goomba color on the GBA and lameboy on the DS).
Saves on the other hand.... I would go custom http://www.ziegler.desaign.de/readplus.htm#Home%20made%20programming%20systems (link also has a nice listing of some of the GBC stuff) / http://hackaday.com/2011/05/09/avr-gameboy-dumper/ myself but I have seen a handful of devices to try and grab saves. There have been a few discussions lately and some sites to grab some of the old legacy stuff from but I lack the time to go searching right now.

*parallel ports, probably a version of 2000 or XP, custom unstable drivers and more.

GBC cheats... emulators might have something although I have not really gone down that path (PC emulators do have proper cheats, cheats and saves are reasonably portable) http://www.pocketheaven.com/ph/bubbz/?system=gbc&section=patch has some trainers. I am not sure what goes with regards to gamesharks for GBC games run from GBC flash carts.

i still have the gbc/gba/gb that's why i need a flashcart or cheat device, mainly for pokemon, i guess i'll stick to goomba color and lameboy for games
i'll check that ez4 out

I was recently looking for flash carts for GB/GBC/GBA.

For the GB/GBC, I bought the GB USB 64M Smart Card.

For the GBA, I bought the EZ4 with MiniSD.

I myself bought the GB Smart Card USB 64M. It is a flashcard with two 32 Mbits (8Megabytes + 8Megabytes) flash chips.

I am quite satisfied with it, there are issues with a few ROMs (10-12 I believe) but those are fixed with a patch.

Bought mine from http://www.tototek.c...kkvmf3lo5062a41 15 days ago.

Also available at http://store.kitsch-...-64m-smart-card

Both of them are reliable websites...

Playing Shantae these days:

Edit: If you want any information or want me to test something, let me know, I would be more than happy to do so.

Games patches are available here:

Interesting- I had seen some people mention those cards before but did not know they were as functional as that. It probably still falls into my odd drivers and requirements as well as a bit overpriced for the size (not that GB/GBC roms were that big) and probably answers to the charge of LSDJ intended device but that is far better than most of what I see until you get to older liksang sourced devices.

Maybe one of these days I will stop dancing around it and see if I can not start hammering out a design for a nice set of GB/GBC and GBA devices (found some nice pinouts and protocols the other month as well as CPLD type devices capable and low enough power requirements but that more or less just gets me an entry level device- the trick would be proper save and multirom handling) using modern chips and what is now known/possible with both consoles being long dead as far as releases go and the quirks largely known and bypassed.

I'd be interested in a couple if you ever got a working desing.
