He means that the one in the photo is slightly red-ish, which is the effect of taking a photo in the dark with a crappy camera.Just like every other 3DS on the planet. So?My Download Play icon is orange like the friends list icon.![]()

I don't remember seeing the DSi photos to be honest, but I do remember that he made a similar kit for the system... that said, after a few months of work he concluded that "DSi is s*it that's not worth anyone's time, most of the software is crap and he's no longer interested".It's neimod therefore it's real. It is basically meaningless for normal people though. Pretty sure he is just editing the title of the channel in RAM after sig checks are done etc. He posted a virtually identical image for the DSi a few years back, the lack of an actual HB channel for it should show some of the significance of this. I don't want to belittle any of neimod's work, it's all very good, it's just not useful or overly relevant for anyone reading this tread.
dont believe picture you didnt fake yourselfI thought neimod became a household name awhile ago. Surprised to see so many people doubting his efforts.

My apologies, it was not neimod, but scanlime. The fact that in reality, this isn't particularly far. He is modifying a value in RAM after it has been loaded i.e. it is still completely impossible to make a permanent modification. Also, it's still not possible to actually run any code on the 3DS. This is literally just changing the string for a channel's title. Unless of course there is a LOT he has done and isn't sharing. But if that's the case, it's probably irrelevant because if he doesn't share it, it won't be useful to anyone other that him anyway. If he got this far, what's to stop him from taking this even further? This is awesome!

Err...I wouldn't do that just yet. This isn't a full-fledge hack, it's just neimod changing header data in the RAM...not useful for much.great i will start saving money for my 3DS ^^![]()
So he'll just stop because he hasn't figured something out yet?The fact that in reality, this isn't particularly far.If he got this far, what's to stop him from taking this even further? This is awesome!

Of course not, but a lot of people seem to be getting the wrong idea, that a hack is coming soon and they'll be able to playSo he'll just stop because he hasn't figured something out yet?The fact that in reality, this isn't particularly far.If he got this far, what's to stop him from taking this even further? TO translate, Nintendo releases a patch, right when things wwork. Remember the DSi?When you think about it, Ram modification is where hacking of this system will start. Once people can figure out how to modify more things in the ram, such as what is loaded upon boot, it can be put on a modchip. Then, unlicensed code can be run. But that's only in a best-case scenario. Life always throws you a curveball when you least expect it.

If it's a modchip that can just optionally load different firmware, then why would that be a problem?TO translate, Nintendo releases a patch, right when things wwork. were wii modchips ever ever blocked with an update?TO translate, Nintendo releases a patch, right when things wwork. Not only that, the modchip can be updated as well, if it has a micro sd slot. Then it can be updated for different ram registers. If it's a modchip that can just optionally load different firmware, then why would that be a problem?TO translate, Nintendo releases a patch, right when things wwork.
