I don't really like the name... but the game looks... pretty cool!

This is the kind of racing game I really like.

I tried to like but I hated LBP, simply because it was to much based on physics and simple design. Imo games with tighter controls are pleasing me more, though that doesn't have to apply to this new game.

Like I said, DKR or RaymanO with more flashed out levels and tighter controls just are way more challenging and fun to play but hopefully this will turn out to be better. For example that grappling mechanic seems to grant some really new possibilities for layered levels and such...

We'll see how this'll turn out. Also if it is not from the same developer it could be very different from the plattforming game, which I would welcome!

Just about to post this...
I really want this, It will be the first racing game that I will enjoy other than Mario Kart.
I still need to get LBP2...
Plus LBP Vita looks great but I don't have a Vita :

I disliked Little Big Planet 1 and 2, could never get into it even when playing with others but this is something I'm interested in. As I said on IRC before, it looks like there is finally a Kart racer that can compete with Mario Kart on other systems. Modnations Racer isn't all that good, it should've been this in the first place.

TBH out of all the new kart-racers me and my friends played the Sega one on PS3 the most (aside of Mk obviously :P). That one was pretty good!

I really can't take LBP or Rayman. They're just too damn slow and floaty.

This kart shit is going to far =.=
Care to explain?
nah B-)

EDIT: just watched the video, i had assumed this was for the vita.
Well considering that some people don't want to learn to drive with a special engine à la NFS/GT, kart games are the natural way to go. Some special things in them, but technically a eased game type. Sure there are tricks for the games and special things to do, but it's much simpler than choosing suspension/suspension levels, motors, tires, the car itself, etc. :)

If I had a Vita and a bit of time to play, I could possible buy this at some point :)

I loved ModNation Racers for PS3, and I was a bit sketchy about this game, but the trailer seems to sell it pretty well. I expect an insane level of customization for characters, karts, and tracks. Nice to know the LittleBigPlanet and ModNation Racers developers are collaborating for this one.

What is it with Sony and kart racers?

And how can you take a series like LBP, which gave you the ability to create TONS of game types, and limit it to a racer?

Sackboy is Sony's mascot, no brainier.

Same with Nintendo and Mario.

Edit: Also what do you mean "what is it with sony and kart racers?"
Modnation Racers is the only one I can think of...

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
