Is it just me or is Resident Evil Revelations over-rated? I'm 11 years old and I'm not even scared when I play it (even at 10pm!). It's an interesting type of game, not exactly scary (with 3D on) but thrilling in a way (like how the ooze pop appear out of the vents). This is my first Resident Evil game AND my first 'horror' game played. Also, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition is rated a T! It doesn't even have blood or death! Maybe...it's just Capcom that bribes ESRB to over-rate their games...maybe they over-rate it instead of under-rating it because if it is under-rated, they might give little Timmy a nightmare! What are your thoughts?

No resident evil game has been scary. It is the tone return that people looked forward to, of campy horror one would find in a B horror movie. The cheesy lines, the some what scary looking but derpy enemies that shamble about, the overly complicated way to open a door, etc etc.

As for SSF4's T rating it has to do with story line content and the fact it is a fighting title. Any fighting title would reach a T rating with ease simply because it is fighting, that's the main thing in one. Pointless fighting :3

Awww you think games are more scarier at 10pm
actually, i was implying how many people say that RE is scarier at night when the lights are off and the player is alone. I was also implying how I'm not scared when I play it in a time like that. Oh, and I'm 11, not 5.

ESRB rating is rated M for mature that s 17+, go to sleep young child.

I get scared when 4 or 5 guys choose waka wuhu on MK7 just to use the glitch...

Now back to the main subject, The scariest scene of RE series is the first zombie of first game (the bald guy). The better game was the first one too (I know that many people don't agree).

11 isn't much different.

Not only are you too young to be playing Revelations, you're also too young to be on GBAtemp (let alone go on the majority of the internet in general).

I will be honest, I was totally scared of those Chainsaw guys in Resident Evil 4.

Besides, the kind of "scares" Resident Evil: Revelations has isn't "Aaaah! I can't play this game!" It's a "Whoa! He just busted out of that window! Heh, that made me jump..." type of scare they are aiming for. And for that respect, they did a pretty good job. Here's lookin' at you, Rachel! -shiver-

Like it was mentioned before, Resident Evil was a survival horror (not as much nowadays but meh), the main point is to make it out of a certain place alive and solve puzzles, it's not that scary, but I can assure you if you played Revelations with the sound at max (yeah, the sound plays a major factor) 3D and alone in a dark room at night and a zombie just suddenly popped behind your back, you'd pretty much shit your pants. xP
In most horror games, what scares people isn't the monsters or what happens, it's the surprise effect that scares people in those. There's very few games like Amnesia where you're pretty much scared during most parts of the game. =3
Also, you are too young to play this kind of game... According to Ninendo you're not even old enough to play LoZ: OoT. >.

I found 7 things wrong with this post! Can YOU spot them?

Answer Key
1. HES 11 YEARS OLD.
2. HES 11 YEARS OLD.
3. He's too young to play RE in the first place.(Hur hur tryin to look mature bro?)
4. He thinks things become scary after 10:00 (its 3:52 when all the creepy shit happens unless you live in new york, then its 3:25)
5. Its not supposed to be shitin bricks scary, its ment to be creepy and let you shoot non-generic zombies.
6.Topic is misleading, You make me think your saying its not that good when your talking about ESRB
7. Why would you PAY to have your game rated higher on ESRB when only Middle school hippsters will be the only ones who think its cool before they realize its on the "Little Kid" Console and dismiss it as for little kids?

as alrady mentioned, sound plays an important factor on these games. try playing with headphones and lights off. it really puts you in the game

also. im 21 and ive been scared of games. dead space and dead space 2, using turtle beach on almost max volume and lights off. now that IS scary
