(edit: how do you resize/hide images?)

I have scoured the net for a review of similar clear case designs for the PS Vita but to no avail, I would appreciate it if someone got their hands on both name brand version like CTA's brand or generic ones like this.

Regardless I'll be getting a cheap generic one in the mail soon and will respond here with my feedback.

That looks nice, cheapy or not. :)

The case I got for my early bird bundle (or bird brain bundle mli :P) is a high-quality hard case but it's absolutely enormous. :ha:

Thanks for commenting. Yeah, I never understood the appeal of those big hard cases. I am a practical person and just love aesthetically pleasing but also practical accessories and so the "crystal" case is a no brainer for me. I will come back here with a short review of the cheap-o case lol.

Yes, I gave my opinion and it happened to be negative, now it's trolling because of it. bravo.
It's not your opinion, it was this:
elaborate? I just didn't like the 凸凹ness of it. the plastic piece basically got annoying (for me).
It's you posting those obscure symbols that got you accused of trolling. The rules are that you are supposed to post in English only.
So why didn't you just say the case was bumpy?

well i bought a black plastic case with some aluminum slapped on it, using that nasty horse glue i suppose as it did cost 6USB ( http://www.dealextreme.com/p/protective-aluminum-cover-plastic-case-for-ps-vita-black-111596 ) hope linking stuff is allowed like this, plus a screen film, though they will only arrive next week... Ill let you know if its any good.

They also sell silicone condo... *cough* sleeves for vita as well as some clear cases if you want some, its just short of 3USD + free shipping which is always nice.

I'm going for the http://tinyurl.com/89v24as - Sony PS VITA Licensed Custom Crystal Case.
If anyone remembers the clear Logitech case for PSP that you could design your own inserts for, it is kind of like that and some kind chaps have already started making a ton of covers for it:
http://nohons.blogsp...ation-vita.html

Check out the site it also has Vita background themes to match the case lol

He also takes requests and made me the Street Fighter X Tekken one you see on that page.

Crystal Cases are known to scratch the devices it protects itself.

really? I didn't know that.

At first I didn't believe it myself, but when it scratched my old PSP, I learned not to use any crystal clear cases for anything.

You're better off using a silicone case.

how about full body screen protector instead?

I'm trying to find the best one so far these are the ones I've found.

I'm going for the http://tinyurl.com/89v24as - Sony PS VITA Licensed Custom Crystal Case.

That is one *gorgeous* carrying case, but I think the OP meant protective cases.

The CTA one looks nice, but I was never a big fan of Crystal Cases to be honest (I had one, it broke the first day, I was not impressed). Besides, an extra case just seems to impede access to the rear touchpad and buttons - a flip-case just for carrying it around seems to be sufficient.

well apparently crystal cases scratch the system. I definitely want some high quality full body screen protectors but my local gamestop doesn't sell them!
The Hori brand are supposedly good but that would take weeks to arrive...

Order from Amazon and you'll get a screen protector within a matter of days (2, usually). As far as the "body" protection is concerned - first and foremost you need to be careful. If you want some "extra" protection for it then get Thug's case or the Nerf protective case - it's made of non-scratching materials and seems to be *quite damn protective* to me.

As you can see, it protects the touchpad with de-attachable protector and the sides are lined with soft padding so your console couldn't be any safer then this.

Thanks! Man I wish I had ordered this stuff beforehand...

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
