I still dont get why sonic needs a car to race

Would it be fair to the others if he didn't?

What about Shadow?

SA2 Shadow was actually an okay character - they turned him into an angsty Emo fag later on. I'd rather if they reverted him to his former self then just nuke him. Not to mention that killing him *repeatedly* was a dumb idea to begin with, he was OBVIOUSLY going to be a cool character.

I picked up Generations after not playing a Sonic title for a decade and I was wondering on who these twats were. I know Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Metal Sonic and Robotnik. But Shadow and that psychic hedgehog? Honestly what the fuck?

Also would I be right in thinking Shadow has a dark and uninteresting backstory?

You would be terribly wrong. His backstory is actually really interesting however Sonic Team just HAD to destroy its potential with non "up-to-par" follow-ups. If you want to know more about him, just play Sonic Adventure 2, I assure you that you won't regret it - it's probably the best "3D Sonic Game" ever made.

He was quite the bad-ass when he debuted, unfortunatelly as I said earlier, the whole Maria bullshit spoiled the fun, not to mention the cloning (in Heroes). No, I'm totally not spoiling anything, you learn about that in like, the first 5 minutes of the game.

It all got complicated after that though. Heroes was... uhm... and Shadow The Hedgehog was "okay" if not for the horrible controls and a really crappy design for Black Arms.

Sega, if you get Ricky Bobby in this game as a crossover character, you will actually have a game worth playing on your hands. Plus, Nintendo would never do it, so you would have the Shake and Bake portion of the kart racing market cornered.
