Publisher Sega will release a sequel to Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing this holiday season

Toys associated with the franchise were displayed in a booth at the Toy Fair in New York this Sunday, where an attendant confirmed that Sega is making a sequel to the franchise-crossing kart racing game. There will be new characters and vehicles revealed later this year.

Because everyone wanted a sequel to S&S All Stars Racing? I mean it wasn't bad but it was just "kart racing for consoles that don't have Mario Kart".

EDIT: Exception being the PSP. I never got that. They'll make a DS version but not a PSP one?

I actually preferred the first one over Mario Kart. The the handling was better in my opinion, the weapons were fairer and the cast was more diverse, thanks to characters from more than just one franchise.
It was also nice to have something related to JSR again.

why make a psp one? any well known game with a shitty port to the ds gets better sales than any well made port to the psp not to mention its cheaper to do for the ds also. Look at how many poeple buy call of duty for the DS its insane that poeple buy it. DS games sell more end of story and at the end of the day thats kind of all that matters isn't?

Hey - he has a decent* fanbase.

SA2 Shadow was actually an okay character - they turned him into an angsty Emo fag later on. I'd rather if they reverted him to his former self then just nuke him. Not to mention that killing him *repeatedly* was a dumb idea to begin with, he was OBVIOUSLY going to be a cool character.
