Does anyone know a good cure for paranoia/fear?

Why: I've been reading things on Reddit's nosleep board.

Other info: I know it's fake, the entire time, so remembering how fake it is does not cure paranoia for me.

The only cure i know is time. After watching a horror movie i can't sleep for few days, then eventually i forget it.
But I need to sleep now. I've got work tomorrow!
Think about something else, or try listening to some good musics. hope that helps.
Alright...

Presumably that's a better idea than Alessa's...which hers was to go play Silent Hill and listen to that /x/ essentials crap she's had the entire time she's lived here. I'm definitely not doing that! I would probably have a massive panic attack.

If you watch a horror movie and you cant sleep after you have a serious problem. After all you do know its a movie right? As in its fake... Seek help...

My suspension of belief doesn't work.

There's a part of my brain that is constantly paranoid that all ghost stories are real and I'll eventually be the single person that finds out all of them are true.

I don't get scared, but when I watch something depressing I just watch something comedic to take my mind off of it.
Granted if you need to sleep "now", then I suppose a comedy anime at 20 minutes an episode isn't exactly a quick fix.

ooo was it scary stories or pics or videos? What did you look up in reddit? Now I'm curious.

I didn't look up anything specific. I just went to the nosleep board and started reading.

I think I'll go attempt to sleep now. I didn't succeed in ceasing all creepy activity, though. I ended up reading the 3-part Butcherface saga. It was an awesome read, but I'll be damned if I get any sleep tonight.

Also, cute picture. Alessa's shown it to me so many times that it's cute now.

I used to sit in /x/ (before it became a fap-roulette) for hours, just reading creepy shit. I couldn't sleep for days, I was afraid that some dead Japanese school girl would murder me and my family.
What I did was simple, I just watched some episodes of SpongeBob (MLP for this generation) and I lost my fear.

Yeah I like how it smiles :D I just didn't know if was counted as scary to others :/ Could you share any other stories that you've read? I'll give the butcher a read in a moment lol

A friend of mine says she used to go to /x/. She says "I witnessed BEN's initial drowning and that neat Drips and Pins'n Needles bullshit. Then /x/ turned into a 'TRIPFAGS ARE CANCER' circlejerk. That's when I stopped being a [censored] and moved on before /b/ (Damnit, you can't even say /b/ on /x/ anymore) raided it again and killed it even more."

I didn't bookmark them all, but here's what I've got. If I find any more good ones in my history tomorrow, I'll edit this post.Edit) OOOOOOOOOOPS! Double posted!

Okay I'll give these a read tomorrow. I just finished reading Butcherface. Nice story there. Though some parts of the story left too open and just leads to more questions. I never knew Reddit had such quite "unique" community, reading those comments under it. I remember there was that creepypasta stories I read mostly all the short stories. I often dont like long stories.
Have you ever heard about the man everyone sees in their dreams?
