New Super Fun Trailer Mario Party 9

Nintendo has released new trailer for the successful party game mario party 9 , The trailer shows many new mini games and new boss mode here is the trailer :

Mario Party 9 is due to be released in North America on March 11th and will be arriving in Europe on March 2nd.

EDIT: After watching it, it looks like another generic Martio PArty game, but made even worse since they use that god-awful all-in-the-same-kart-on-the-board philosophy.

The gameboards look amazing but the karts suck.

Edit: I see some Super Mario Land 3D resemblance. Looks good anyways.

No, sadly. Nintendo has yet to put WiFi functionality in a Mario Party game. Hopefully the 3DS changes that when a 3DS version comes out.

I don't see the problem with the kart thing.
So now I can't go out and eat lunch while I wait for everyone else to roll their dice and move around the board.
I'll miss lunch, but at least we'll be doing more playing and less sit there and watching.

The "gear" game board looks like a re-skin of Mario's rainbow-land (first mario party) and all the mini games look fantastic. The kart thing is stupid though. I hope that is an optional thing for a beginner (preschool friendly) mode.

I'm sorry that you have info about this being an optional mode and that everyone who know nothing about the game except what is presented in the trailer, if so then I would like it if it's an optional mode requiring teamwork over competitive play sounds like fun, but only if the traditional mario party mode is included that doesn't favor the loser like previous mario party's [mario party DS sucked as no matter how far ahead I got somehow the person in last place suddenly gained the ability to get all the stars required to win] If the game is kept far and balanced like an ACTUAL board game then yes this could be an actual fun mario party game [I found they kinda sucked after the the n64 era {#2 is the best}]

You do know there was another trailer before this one, and info was released about Party Adventure a week or so ago IIRC. Battle Royale (The usual Mario Party mode) is still the main mode according to MarioWiki. They're just highlighting this new mode more, as it's new.

I'll probably pass on this, but looks alright. I'm hoping there's a 3DS version. Despite what everyone here says, I hope it DOESN'T have an online mode. That's the one thing I love about Nintendo. Certain games should not have Wi-Fi. Playing Mario Party online kills the experience. Every once in a while we'll break out the N64 and play Mario Party 2, and we have a blast... playing online would suck so much.

I'm sorry,but going to have to disagree. Not everyone can get up and go to someone house. People will gain better experience if they can play their friends or random strangers then
by themselves since not all people live next to friends(maybe even family) like that and I don't see how online = you can't play offline with you friends if you can.

I think I can see either the 3ds or the wii u one having online+communities.
