Hacking R4i SD?

Ok, so for the past half a year or so, i've been a wii hacker, never dsi/ds, but before hacking wii, I bought an R4i MicroSd, and also a micro sdhc card, to only find out that the SDHC card isn't compatible with the r4i, and it only taks micro SD's, not SDHC's, So, i'm sitting here with a barnes and noble gift card, thinking about buying a micro SD card, but once I do, what all would I have to do to get the r4i working, please help.

Not r4i plus.
Not gold.
( Not sure if it has wifi compatibility, but don't think it does )

All you need is the firmware for the flashcart; to get the firmware, we have to identify where exactly the cart is from. First, you have to tell us the website of the flashcart, which is written on the sticker or box of the flashcart.

I know you mentioned a website, but from what I see, it only has r4i Gold Plus, r4i Gold V2.0 and r4i Gold (which contradicts the fact that your cart is neither "Plus" or "Gold").

I think what he actually has is the cart produced by r4ids.cn team before they split from the original team and changed their website.

sLoddir, take a good look here. Does the cart on the screenshot look exactly like your cart? Also, take a look at the PCB of your cart. Is it red?

It looks exactly like it, and by PCB, you mean packaging? If so, I threw that out a LONG time ago, but I do believe it was gold, but didnt have the " GOLD! " splash on it.

You can get your firmware here under the header that says "R4i Gold", or better yet get it here

PCB means printed circuit board. On the back side, by the gold teeth contacts, part of the board is showing and yours should be red.

Thank you, and wow, I knew what pcb meant, but you just refreshed my mind, thank you for that, and the firmware, ordering the micro sd now, and yes, it is red.

There's a possibility that firmware for his cart should be from r4ids.cn, not r4idsn.com (both sites belong to the same team which produces similar, but, firmware-wise, incompatible carts). I think the best course of action would be to email the team.

Also, sLoddir, I'm pretty sure that your cart is compatible with SDHC cards.

Wait a minute, I've just noticed that the link that jimmyemunoz gave you leads to r4ids.com. This site has nothing to do with the R4iDSN team anymore. You should use firmware from either r4ids.cn or r4idsn.com, which one exactly I'm not sure.

EDIT: read this R4iDS Gold official site R4iDS.com changed to www.r4ids.cn. Just use Wood kernel from r4ids.cn and forget about r4ids.com.
