i like everyone else here probably isn't ready for a 3DS remake so soon. it just came out last year & there's already roamers flying around about it so why not make a list of things that will be awesome to see on this souped up version of our next gen handheld.

i see it taking resemblance from gameboy micro.

imagin the 3ds with replaceable face plates & that metalic feel.
& backlet blue A, B, X, Y, D-Pad, Start, Select, & Home, buttons. i may do a 3D mock up of this.
edit:come to think of it wouldn't a replaceable face plate solve the problem of the top screen getting scratched & 3d being ruined over time.

Edit: i forgot to mention a stronger battry, atleast 10Hours.
tho my current 3DS battery last almost the whole 24 hours.

you seem to left out stronger battery who needs a battery expansion, if you have a stronger battery. befor i say the next thing i want i would just like to say FU im not saying this because of the vita, but i wouldn't mind having 3g. being able to go online anywhere would be awesome! but yeah everything else i want, you already mentioned, so yeah. oh and i thought i would just mention i dont agree with everything u said, but i have a head ach so im not going into detail.

Better screen and 3D from all angles, MAYBE. But the 3DS wasn't made for more than one person looking at the thing.
Bigger touchscreen and making the top screen touchscreen?
NOT HAPPENING. That would be more than just a remake... That would be the next version. It'd have backwards compatibility for 3DS games, but it would be completely different.
Don't forget that 3D touchscreens just plain won't work..

-eye tracking isn't that great and I doubt the 3ds could handle the extra processing it would requrie.
-a new screen probably wouldn't work with the 3d and what's wrong with the current screen anyways
-front facing camera would be ok but that would increase the size which counteracts the smaller model of the 3ds
-the camera can alrady do amazing things so what is there to add
-tactile means it would have to be glass which means the sylus is gone, a heat sensor would have to be added [that's how touch screens work on Iphones and such] increaseing the size, a bigger touchscreen wouldn't work as it would have to be scaled and all ds and 3ds games would have pixialted touchscreen or a black border
-bluetooth won't be added as it could comprimise security of the system, and why the hell would anyone want to use the wiimote or wii U pad o.0

Uh. All Android phones have tactile haptic feedback. But you're a woman, so all is forgiven.

This isn't too unreasonable I think Nintendo, make it happen.

Other than price, you're forgetting that ITS NINTENDO. Nintendo is great, I love them, but they do absolutely the worst/minimal when it comes to hardware. Specifically when it comes to Wifi. Streaming video is apparently only possible when video resolution and quality has been reduced to pixel-garbage. I swear, every video on the eShop and Netflix looks like it was saved as a JPEG with MS Paint, except its in motion.

Don't forget its laughable internet browser which is only barely a hair up from the even worse Opera browser. I mean OMFG it should take actual minutes to load pages, ESPECIALLY when the crap-featured browser doesn't even load/support Java/Flash. Even smart phones from 5 years ago that lack wireless N are still blazing compared to the Nintendo 3DS. I get 2 whole megabytes a freaking second on my network, yet the 3DS takes forever to download just 1.

Wifi rant asside, Nintendo isn't interested in providing us top-of-the-line hardware that can compare to even yester-year's deviceds. As long as what they're doing now is selling ( and it is ), they're going to continue to half ass it when it comes to hardware. Excpect only minor/modest improvements in the next 3DS model. Don't expect advanced 3D tech or OLED screens.

I agree with the battery thing. Theres no reason the 3DS should have less battery live than the Vita, which has a 4-core processor. It also doesn't help that the 3DS is a power hog. However I'm not on board with the camera thingy. Keeping the cameras stunted will hopefully keep Nintendo from being tempted to take them seriously as gaming peripherals.

I agree with 1 thing you said - better camera. Other things won't happen unless Ninty drops support for the current 3DS, as different sized screens, higher res, etc. would make compatibility with the current 3DS impossible for most games.

That said though, Ninty should have done most of those things on the original...
